What about Neelix??

In Endgame Pt 1, before Admiral Janeway contacts Voyager, Seven is playing Conastot (I'm sure I spelled it wrong) with Neelix, when some kind of alarm sounds Seven tells Neelix that she must attend to the alarm, she tells him that she will contact him the next day at the usual time. She never had a chance to contact Neelix, when Seven never contacted him, what do you suppose that he thought. Was Voyager destroyed, did they find a wormhole...ect, It seems that Neelix never found out what did happen to Voyager, what do you suppose his thoughts were???

Good question I have often thought about this, I don't know what he must have thought though, they should have adressed it.

Neelix must have thought that the ship was destroyed or something like that since they never contacted him.

That could be something for a story or book, Neelix starting to look for his friends and run into some adventures before he finds them.

Surely the Midas array which could contact Voyager with ease, was being used to explore the rest of the galaxy remotely similar enough to our current SETI Projects?

Of course they could be sending out messages like "Your Mother wears Army Boots, love The Romulans." Too.

To the best of my knowledge Voy was so busy getting retrofitted and dealing with the BORG that it was never implied that Neelix was ever contacted again, I could be wrong though...

I agree, the show always focuses on a small group of people...there's a 100 other crew members who could've hopped down to Astrometrics and said, "Hey neelix, Seven says hi, we're in a bit of a pickle so we'll update you later. k? bye."

I agree with Guy and a few others.

They had the Midas Array for two way communication with the Delta Quaderant, not to mention the events in "Endgame" happened over a few days. Those new shields are slapped on by tape & spit you know.

Neelix knew well in advance they might be getting home and I'm sure got another call once they did. The two way communication is another reason why Janeway made Neelix "Ambassidor to the Delta Quaderant".

Yes I know it is not canon but is there any mention of Neelix in the relaunch?

I always assumed someone told Neelix, just wasn't important enough to be shown.
