What "A" list stars would you like to see in a Star Trek Movie?

Don't know if she's considered "A list" or not, but I wouldn't mind seeing Summer Glau in a Trek movie.

She is not. Which is one of the reasons why she could be in a Trek movie.

And SHOULD be.

For the guys, Russell Crowe would get my vote. As a member of Starfleet or as a villian.
As for the women, Dame Judy Dench would be awesome as an admiral.

If we could reach back a bit, I'd like to see Robert Mitchum.

He's a good looking devil.

We've had old Spock play against nu-Spock and THEY don't want Shatner, so a thiry-five year old Mitchum could be a mature Kirk, giving ensign...uh, captain nu-Kirk some advice.

Or a sixty year old admiral Mitchum beating the crap out of nu-Kirk in a bar fight. Establishing a precedent that nu-Kirk both can't avoid a bar fight and also can't win one.

Other than rampant hotness? Well, she is a good actress, and definitely has the sci-fi credentials. Aw, who the hell am I kidding? I just want to see her in a Starfleet uniform.

I've always considered Mitchum to be Admiral material, but not the usual crazy-and/or-evil Admirals we've seen in the past. Also, if Trek brought back the ranks of Colonel or Commodore *just* for Mitchum, you would hear no complaints from me.

As for me, while not A-list, I think Jon Hamm would make one DAMN smooth captain.

As long as it wasn't intended to be some sort of recurring role, certain big stars could do well in a trek film. I think the trick would be to have them in a role that would compliment the main / recurring characters and not overshadow them.
