What a bitch!

Colonel Green

Vice Admiral
Admiral
I was out walking my dog today in a fairly underused park which I walk her in almost daily. My dog took a poop, and I used a bag (conveniently supplied by the city at park entrances) to pick it up. Later in my walk, I crossed paths with a middle aged woman, and chatted briefly as our dogs played.

After parting ways, I came across a pile of dog shit that some ass had failed to pick up. As I had an extra bag in my pocket, I decided to pick it up since it was in a high traffic area. As I picked it up, I noticed the woman I had spoken to earlier approaching from a distance.

I returned to my car, and as I was getting the dog settled, this woman passed by. As I pulled out, she STEPPED IN FRONT OF MY CAR. When I rolled down the window, she pointed back and said in an accusatory manner: "Is that YOUR poop bag?!"

I checked my mirror, and saw a bag sitting by the side of the road, near to where I had been parked. "No," I replied, "it was already there, I guess...". To which she said: "Sure"

What a fucking bitch. I went out of my way to pick up SOMEBODY ELSE'S dog shit, and I get accused of littering. I imagine my dumpy dog walking clothes (as it was POURING rain) played a part in her snap judgement, which I think is total BS. I am so pissed that I didn't think to pick up the bag of (SOMEBODY ELSE'S) shit that was sitting on the floorboards and wave it in her fucking face.

This is par for the course as far as my interactions with baby boomers at the dog park goes. Half of them have small but viscous dogs that they let run wild, but flip out if my very well behaved medium sized dog has the audacity to bark or growl when ATTACKED by their fucking mutt.

Please excuse my rant, but I'm glad to get that off my chest. :scream:

This further highlights just why I spend more time with my dogs.
I will mention that you may want to be careful of dog parks, for the reasons you mentioned. Too many dog owners are irresponsible for their dogs' behavior, and let them run amok on others' pets. I have known of dogs who have been seriously bitten, attacked, or worse. I know my dog trainer is adamant about staying away from them.
It really is a shame that you seemed to do everything that a good dog owner should do - and more - and you still had to face the aditude of some scum-lapping human.
Give your dog an extra pat, and thank him for being a good dog - and far superior to the woman who gave you the attitude.

I think the woman was way out of line...but not as out of line as the person who left that little "present" for other park users.

I was in line at a store once when a woman tapped me on the shoulder and rudely told me, "If you had listened to a child you'd know you dropped this!" and she then handed me something that must've fallen out of my pocket when I reached for my wallet -the object was something useless like a movie-ticket stub or receipt or something like that. I just feigned being deaf/hard of hearing to make her feel like an ass.

Next time, speak in a fake broken Slavic accent ;)

If it makes you feel any better, Colonel Green, I'd like to commend you for cleaning away your dog's droppings. It is practically unheard of where I live, and many people own dogs, so you can all imagine the problem. Theoretically, there's a fine for not cleaning it away, but it's never being enforced. Also, people here in general are inconsiderate assholes.

You should have gone all I Love You, Man on her.

"I THINK YOU SHOULD JUST MIND YOUR FUCKHOLE!!!"

:scream:

I wish you'd been around my area, before somone traipsed dog shit into the carpeted lobby area of my building today. :scream:

I suspect the building managers are going to get multiple calls tomorrow to get someone out pronto to clean the lobby.

I find the whole concept of picking up dog crap disturbing as it proves to me which species actually rules this planet

Things like this make my brain hurt. I really don't understand most people, but then again, I am slowly beginning to give up trying.

A guy was walking his dog in our neighborhood and the dog shit in our yard. He started to walk off, and my wife, having witnessed this from the window, ran outside in her bathrobe and said, "You better pick up that fucking shit!"

I think there's more to this story than what the good Col wants us to believe. I think *he* pooped in a bag and was going to run off without taking it home.
