Although it goes against how xenophobic the Terran Empire is, I expect it to be Emperor Saru.

Kind of makes sense if you think about it. He's tired of being the gazelle on his homeworld, so he takes control of the most feared empire in the quadrant and become the lion

I said it was a longshot. He did know things about Lorca and the Buran incident that the average Fed citizen would not be privy to.

I like the emperor Saru idea. Saru got to be a bad ass in Mirror universe.

Ive thought perhaps that the emperor could also turn out to be Admiral Cromwell as well.

It would create a lot of drama on Lorca's end.

I'm pretty sure I've cracked the code:

After rejecting the Vulcans' offer at first contact, Terrans set off on a six-year campaign to conquer the galaxy and ultimately declared themselves rulers of Alpha in the summer of 2069.

With those daggers everyone carries around both political and personal relationships almost always end up cutting like knives, literally and figuratively.

If you're a citizen of the Empire, everything you do, you do for the Emperor. And, in turn, if you're the Emperor, everyone runs to you whenever they have a problem.

And lastly, the rule of thumb for any human is "You want it, you got it." However, it does tend to make one overly reckless. Just ask Connor.

Well Michael seems to mean something to the emperor, based on the reaction to Lorca killing her.

Georgiou makes sense dramatically for Burnham, and Cornwell makes sense dramatically for Lorca. As Burnham is nominally our lead character, I'm going to go with Georgiou. I am more intrigued by Lorca as a character though, and it looks like the theory of him being from the MU will likely turn out to be true. I imagine he swapped places with 'our' Lorca the same as USS Discovery switched with ISS Discovery (I hope we get a flash over to our universe and see what Captain Killy & co are getting up to over here at some point).

I was going to say "he could be a MORE evil version", then I remembered 'our' version murdered everyone on Discovery several times over. So, maybe not.

    Those were the best days.

That would actually be kind of cool if Shatner played Emperor Tiberius Kirk (Jim Kirk's grandfather).

Could still be cromwell as, maybe she sent her best to snag him and the reaction is equally upsetting to the emperor as she was infatuated with lorca.

I dunno I'm just playing devils advocate. I'm not sold either way.

    Maybe there is no Emperor/Empress.

Think how vain are MU humans, it's strange the emperor hides himself

It's a well-known member of the Discovery crew, someone with a close, personal relationship to Burnham. Someone we least expect, perhaps because they are not really Terran.

Yes. It is obviously Emperor Tardigrade.

Idris Elbas as Krall is the emperor. It will link STD with its true inspiration, the kelvinverse.
