It's years since I watched it, but as I recall the original Harry dies at the start, and the duplicate Harry takes his place when the duplicated Voyager is destroyed.
Which tells me I really should get round to reacquainting myself with the DVDs now that I upgraded from VHS...
Part of me hopes we don't see the Emperor until the final scene of the final episode, and it's a massive surprise cameo, from an actor they'll then announce has joined the show for Season 2 as the Big Bad.

Had Enterprise continued and because Bakula is the cast's top banana, I think it's pretty certain they'd have revealed Mirror Archer wasn't poisoned. But drugged and kept alive by the Empress for some plot reason in a sequel. Perhaps revealing of what the writers had in mind for Season 5, that's what Mike Sussman went with in one of the MU novellas anyhow. As well as how the Terrans might well be about to begin a war with the Romulans too.
Anyway aside from nods to other Trek, Discovery is its own show, and I can't see the ruler of the Empire being anyone other than a mirror role for an established cast member.

Whomever they pick for the Emperor, it will most likely be someone who will have a connection with someone important from the Discovery or Shenzhou. It's just writing 101. Obscure characters or characters whom crew members only recognize via historical records would be pointless in terms of dramatic potential. If they were just going for a nice Easter egg, I think they would have revealed the Emperor's identity already in passing.
Because they are purposefully delaying that reveal, and keeping the character "faceless" for now, it indicates to me that the intention is to have a very dramatic and emotionally impactful scene when Burnham et al finally do come face to face with him/her.

I think the ENT Quota for references was filling with them mentioning briefly how Defiant got stuck in MU in the first place. There should be NO more references to ENT. Please! (Oh wait, we are getting Andorians next epsisode? Great, I bet one of them is Shran's MU decendant)
They already mentioned Archer earlier in the season.
ENT is canon and Prime Universe, they're going to reference it.
Doubtful they're related. "Philipa Georgiou" isn't a name that sounds like it would be descended from a "Hoshi Sato."
Georgiou is definitely the Emperor, though. Connor explicitly mentions "the Emperor saw something in me" and gave him command of the ship, which implies that HE knows who the Emperor is. The implicaiton, IMO, is that Lorcal and Georgiou were both candidates to ascend the throne (among others, probably) and a power struggle ensued with Georgiou ending up on top. And the records even say the Emperor destroyed the Buran as payback for the coup, which Shenzhou was somehow involved with. The implication there is very strong: they were both fighting over the throne, but Georgiou won and destroyed the Buran in the process.
Better for the arc then a Sato clone?
