Spoilers Well...we all know whom the Emperor will be.

Although it goes against how xenophobic the Terran Empire is, I expect it to be Emperor Saru.

Kind of makes sense if you think about it. He's tired of being the gazelle on his homeworld, so he takes control of the most feared empire in the quadrant and become the lion

They could do the whole Saru is human in the Mirror Universe just like Vic was a real person in the DS9 MU.

If it's not Saru, I'm hoping it's Hoshi. They got Bones in TNG and he must have been 140+ by that time. Hoshi would be around 130 at this point.

Georgiou seems like the obvious guess though.

Assuming Hoshi was 25 or so in Enterprise, yeah 130 sounds about right.

Former Security Chief Landry. She was dumb enough to get ripped up by Ripper in the prime universe, she must be REALLY smart in the Mirror universe.

Phillipa Georgiou...That's good though, it makes sense concerning the story. Also, that's not our prime universe Defiant. It's a great show...I've been watching since the beginning back with Shatner/Kirk and think Discovery has been a lot of fun.

How about a 120+ year old Hoshi?

So we know people live longer. Wasn't McCoy 137 years old in the first episode of TNG? Also as empress who knows what length she would go to to extend her life. It's possible we never see who the emperor is at any rate.

There's no point to it being Hoshi, though. There would be no dramatic impact or narrative value for the Discovery crew in having the Empress be revealed as Sato. No-one on board has any (that we know of) connections to the Hoshi Sato who was alive a century ago. Same would go with having Pike revealed as the Emperor. He's contemporary, but has never been on the show, nor does anyone have a connection to him in the cast. Great as fan easter eggs, perhaps, not so great for the ongoing drama.

Georgiou, Cornwell or Saru, on the other hand would be good choices because the characters personally know the prime versions of them. I can't see it being Stamets, though, as I suspect we will need to keep that story confined to his transformed state and grief over the loss of his love.

Well True I was hoping it's Hoshi because I love tie ins to the other shows. It has been gone for 12 years so young or new fans won't get it. As for Saru that seems unlikely to me. Isn't the Empire a racist group who hates non humans?

I read someplace online that we will know who the emperor is as stated by the producers. That means my vote is captain Georgiou

What if they don't show the emperor?

It´s almost guarenteed to be the woman at least. As counterpoint to Burnham and as others posted also as analogy to Queen of Hearts and /or Red Queen from Carroll´s writing.
