Well I finally got around to watching this. Ordered this off Amazon as soon as it had been announced and snagged a copy.
It was fun dare I say it. I had almost zero expectations of what the movie would be like aside from what I saw in the official trailer so when it started I was pleasantly surprised.
Frank Grillo did a great job with the story he was given and the production looked slick and well made. It really did look like they got their money's worth of production and look, and it didn't feel to me at least in any way cheap and nasty. Mel Gibson is in this colour me surprised. But he made an excellent bad guy and he doesn't really get a lot of screen time but he is great when he's on screen.
There's a cavalcade of bad guys out to get the film's main character, hero I wouldn't exactly call him that but he's the main guy in the movie played by Frank Grillo and he really did do a great job with this. Along the way is Michelle Yeoh in a small supporting part which is great to see, and Naomi Watts an actress I really like that I haven't seen a lot of in movies. She played his ex. I'm not going to spoil the plot about the time looping you just have to watch the movie it's pretty self contained and very easy to get. The action is what counts.
