Is Taurik an original character? Cuz I gotta say he looks a lot like Vorik.

No, he is from "Lower Decks". He was played by the same actor who played Vorik http://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/Taurik

The Imperial officer on top looks like she was in a nasty fight at one time, and looks like she is on the verge of having a nasty attitude. The only thing that would prevent her from firing that phaser rifle off would appear to be another phaser pointed at her.
And the Andorian below looks about as cold as her home planet. I am in no doubt that these two officers are a pair of fem-fatals.

I don't usually comment on or pay much attention to character art, compared to starship and vehicle design, which is more my area of expertise, but I've looked through the entire thread, and I have to say, I am impressed.
And your drawing of the fighter trainer above from over a year ago indicates that you are quite competent even with vehicles.
