Welcome to the new frontier

Looks great. I wish I had seen this forum before. Love all the work so far. I especially like the Enterprise ones alittle more. I didn't see the Deigo Reyes come up at all.

"We're good at one thing, and one thing only... killin' Rom'lans!"

Agreed - those New Frontier character portraits are absolutely stellar! :bolian:

It's also really cool to see the crew from TAS in 'contemporary' (by Trek standards!) uniform - as great as it is to enjoy Trek in written form, it's always so rewarding to be able to SEE all the various esoteric bits and bobs in fully-realised form.

Can't wait to see what you come up with next - this is awesome stuff! :)

Wow, thanks a lot! I didn't even have to pay you like all these other guys. :techman:

amazing work. I'm guessing that you are sketching in RL and then bringing the sketches into the PC to work on them? Or is all this RL? Or all done a Wacom or its equivalent?

very cool Sketch cards :) :techman:
maybe one of ST 2 or 6 next? :)

Sure, why not?

Usually I start with a rough sketch, do the "inks" with my dvd marker and then I scan the finished drawing into photoshop, to colour it digitally. I don't have a Wacom, I still use a mouse for all the photoshop work.... Yeah, I'm one of those dinosaurs :D

Thanks for the info; my MB spent the last month slowly dying on me and one of the results of the shop-and-build is that I now have a Wacom tablet and can't wait for summer to get here to delve into art+computer.

Nothing wrong with old-school though; mouse or pen, paints or pixels, it's not the tools that matter but the artist that's using them. The quality of your work means that you have a method that works for you. I wouldn't change that until the tools feel limiting...

Looks like Khan to me unless you want to burn and bloody up his face like it was during the battle :) :techman:

and Thanks thats also a really good art there of Kristie Alley version of Saavik :) :techman:

New stuff!

Kirk Spock and Sulu (I did them very quick, so they're nothing special):

And some of you may know or not know about that new animated Trek show "Star Trek: Final Frontier", that was in the works but ended up being shelved a while back. (http://zeroroom.squarespace.com/)

I like the story and the characters, so I thought I should give it a try and interpret the chars in my own style. You can see protocol officer William Preston, Captain Alexander Chase, Commander Barric Holden, Lt. Jax (the green skinned girl) and security chief Lt. Kaylen Donal.

Please remember, the Final Frontier Characters and Designs are copyrights to Zero Room Productions. This is just fan-art, I'm not involved in their project.
