Well I got Appleseed today, and I really liked it. It looked absolutely amazing, the sound was great, so was the action. While the plot wasn't too terribly original, it was still well written and interesting. I absolutely love the lead character (the blonde in my av), my only problem was that the woman doing the voice sounded slightly too... childish. But still, I'm really glad I got the movie, now I just gotta get my g/f to watch it. :D If any of you like anime, you should definately check it out. :)

Hi guys,

Just wanted to tell a few of you what is going on.

On Thursday of last week, I started getting *really* sick and was diagnosed on Friday with Shingles. This is sorta a strain of the Chicken Pox Virus, and comes out when a person is under severe amounts of stress.

Due to some tough things going on for me personally, I guess it came out...and I've basically been sick as a dog since Friday of last week. I've been taking a ton of medicine, however, and hope to be back some some semblance of normal by the weekend.

Today is the first day I can really see out of my right eye (the virus is in my head and the whole right side of my face swelled up - it was gross), so I wanted to at least come round and tell you guys what was going on.

I'm still not feeling well at all, but the swelling is going down, so that's a good step in the right direction. I have really bad headaches, and can't really concentrate for long because I'm always uncomfortable, so I still won't be around much for a little while longer...but I'm hoping to be back on the board full time again by the weekend.

Between now and then, I'll be on and off, as I feel up to it. But right now, the best thing for me to do is to lay on the sofa and chill.

BigFoot, I've taken this opportunity to watch a few of the season 1 episodes of The O.C.. And you were right - it's a good show now...but really ROCKED in season 1!!!

Anyway...just wanted to let you guys know what is going on.

Hope you all are well!

Hugs!!!

Vash, I really hope that you'll get better soon. Good luck!

And yeah, S1 of The O.C. was definately great.

You're in my prayers, Vash. I'm glad to hear you're already recovering!

Um, just disregard my Orlando comment from earlier ;) Get well soon!

Thanks, guys! I appreciate the good wishes! :)

I'm feeling a bit better today.

I just bought some autograph/photo op tickets for the Vegas Con. Spent....wait for it....$300!!!! And every single ONE of the tickets I bought was for DS9 actors:

Avery Brooks - Photo Op and autograph (this was non-negotiable for me - must have, regardless of cost  )
James Darren - Photo Op and autograph (me loveth the Vic Fontaine, ya know!!! :D )
Nana Visitor - autograph
Alexander Siddig - autograph
Casey (oh-so-FINE) Biggs - autograph
Jeffrey Combs - autograph

I might order more later - thinking about Penny Johnson Jarrell too, as I'm a 24 fan.

Patrick Stewart was all sold out...but I couldn't care LESS!!! I'm just thrilled to meet the Emissary. :borg:

It's alot of money, but I've been pretty bummed out lately about some stuff, so I felt I owed it to myself. Plus, I've only been to one con before this one, and it was pretty small - the only autograph I got was Peter Jurasik (which was FABULOUS as I think Londo rocks and all...but it was only the one). So this will be the first opportunity I have to meet some of these folks.

Right now, my life kinda sucks...but at least I have cool tickets for Vegas!!! :)

Where oh where have my lounge lizards gone?
Where oh where can they be?!?!??

Is this bar closed or what? :(

Methinks I may never see a thread as lovely as ... um ... the one before :D

I'm ok by the way, thanks for asking ;)

^ You bet. :D

So when do you guys plan to go see Ep 3? Or have you already seen it? :) I'm probably gonna go see it on monday. I'd see it sooner, but my g/f is working pretty much all weekend.

Hey kevs and everyone else.

Sorry I havn't been posting much lately, but this has been a very busy week for me. It's the final week of the semester and I finished a project for biology, but I still have a project due tomarrow. I'm almost done with it though, but it still is taking a ton of time.

Anyway, I'm looking foward to tomarrow for two reasons. One, I will finally be done with this SF project, and two, I'm going to see Episode III tomarrow with a friend. I hope to get this project done tonight so I have time to prepare myself by watching Episode II, but this has just been a real busy week. Of course next week will be Finals, but those won't seem too bad compared to the projects.

^ Hope you have good luck with the end of your semester.

As for me...things haven't been going too well for me lately, gang. I'm having a really hard time IRL, and so I mainly just do my job here, try to post in the AL or somewhere like it for a little while, and then I leave.

I'd love to talk to some of you guys on MSN or Yahoo or ICQ sometime, if you like. I could actually use spending some time with my buddies, since I can't really post about things here.

Hope you all are well though. :)

For a start, warn Steven for being such a pain. :p

Next time I see you on MSN, expect to be hassled. :) *** hugs ***

:p

I hope you feel better soon Vash. :)

Picked up three books yesterday. Articles of the Federation, SCE Book 7: Breakdowns, and the follow-up to ItPM, Hollow Men. Sadly, that's last on my list to read, but I've been told that it's pretty good.

I bought a few books today too. Even a DS9 one that I'll no doubt NOT read. :p

I bought R is for Richochet, by Sue Grafton (my favorite author), Therapy by Jonathan Kellerman (another favorite), and a book by David Morrell which I can't remember the name of but which I'm sure I'll like because I like all of his books.

I'll actually READ all of these.

Finally, I bought Unity, which will no doubt sit on my shelf along with all the other relaunch books, collecting dust.

I got about 1/2 way finished with Avatar I once...but that's as far as I've gotten in any Trek book save the two by Jeri Taylor about Janeway and the VOY crew. :p

Oh...and I bought a treadmill. :D

My life still sucks in a major way...but spending vast amounts of money on myself helps.

Now THAT's some therapy I could get into

I've been a bit under the weather myself, so I haven't even turned on a PC until today. I saw EpIII yesterday, last mantinee. I thought it was good. One thought I had during the movie was that Lucas probably couldn't (or didn't feel it would be appropriate for audiences to) tell this story when he first put SW out. To end it on such a dark note probably would've turned a lot of people off. I have a couple of nitpicks, but he created an effective tone. I think Lucas did well with EpIII overall.

Great to see everyone as always. Good luck tomalak301. And y'all come back now, ya hear!

Tsk, tsk. :p

I can attest to this. It's even better when it's someone else's money too. ;)

Well, seeing as I don't have an OS lab today, and no class until 7pm, I believe I shall go see Star Wars today. I don't know why though. I only saw Ep1 and 2 on TV, and haven't seen a single minute of the original three, but I guess I need to finish up the prequel story...

Hey Guys,

I hope all is well with everyone today. Today has been kind of a strange day for me. This has been my Finals week and today was my hardest final, Financial accounting. Even though I studied hard for it, I think it might have been the most challenging final I've ever taken. I hope it was enough, but it's something I've been thinking about all day since I got home. I have one more final tomarrow, but it's been such an easy class that I really don't need to study for it. I'm just really worried that I didn't do very well today.

I can't wait till tomarrow after my last final though. I plan to go try to see Star Wars again, and maybe see another movie like "The Longest Yard" or something. After that, I can finally think about getting ready for my Vacation starting Saturday and lasting a week. I'm going to Southern California to catch a few Baseball games, and go see the 50th anniversery thing at Disneyland. I'm looking foward to it, even though I found out that Space Mountain opens a month later. :(

Anyway, so I might try to get on some tomarrow, and maybe even the morning, but other than that, I'm not going to be here until next weekend.
