^ That's good.

I didn't have any 'notify mod' emails in my box...so that was a good sign, anyway!

Yeah...we are both very tired. But it was a fun vacation and we did alot of stuff! Had good weather too, except for one day when it was really cold.

Looking forward to this day at work ending though, so that I can go home and relax. Maybe go to bed early. I am totally wiped out!

Glad you're back, Vash! I haven't seen you handling things around here lately, and I forgot you were on vacation. I was starting to worry ;)

Glad to see you had fun. Get some rest! This board can hold on without ya a couple more days! Maybe....

I made it clear from the start that this establishment is self-serve. If the service sucks, you only have yourself to blame. :p :D

I dunno what the DVD booklet said about the order of the episodes. But I watched it in the DVD order. Too much effort to change to disc 3 and then back to disc 2. :p

Final thoughts on B5 before watching "Sleeping in the Light":
- A few favourite scenes from season 5: Garibaldi's arrival on the Drazi homeworld. Don't know why, but it was just cooler than a normal cityscape shot, because the camera moved around and then the view from the balcony was pretty cool. And the other scene, when Vir took the sword to the Drazi merchant's fruit stand.

- Poor Londo... :( We knew what was going to happen to him since season 3, but still... seeing it... :(

- It was really sad watching everyone take that one last walk to their shuttles in the last couple of episodes. Really choked me up.

- Didn't like what they did to Lyta this season at all. :borg:

- The first half of season 5 was a bit slow, but the second half picked up a lot. I once told someone that I was continually amazed at how much stuff they managed to pack into episodes. I would look at the DVD timer to see if the episode was over yet, only to see that it wasn't even half done yet! Didn't really get that feeling with the telepath episodes though.

- G'Kar's transformation throughout the series was simply unbelievable. All the stuff he has been through... there is one hell of a difference. And not just in him either, nearly all of the characters.

Anyways, I should be heading off to watch the episode. Will be back. ;)

Well, it's Friday night and it's time for another show of the first awesome thing on television in 2005, Battlestar Galactica. :p

Tonights episode was great, even though I think I liked last week better. I loved seeing Starbuck having to deal with what she did to Zak and fess up to Adama about it. That scene in Adama's quarters was gut wrenching.

"You do your job, and you get out of here while you still can"

Wow, I even have chills just quoting that line. He really was pissed of, and given what we learned from the flashbacks, I can understand why. I did like how she treated the Trainees, and it was great to see her give them another chance. I liked Starbuck before, but I love starbuck now. She is such an interesting and complex character.

Spoiler:
I didn't particually like how the flashbacks were handled (It got kind of annoying after a while, and I first thought that those flashbacks with her in the Viper was BSG's Quantum leap of showing how Zak died. I didn't like the fact that they kept on repeating the foreshadowing.

It was mean that they had to pull a To be Continued on us. I can't wait till next week.

I still want to know what the Chiefs full name is if anyone knows.

Wow.

I believe you meant to say Wow! :D

I think he's too choked up to speak.

SITL will do that to a body! ;)

Well, I hope you enjoyed the show, Steven! I'm really curious about what you thought of the show overall...and the characters individually, now that it's ended.

We should do a little poll in this thread, just among us, for the best of Babylon 5. :)

And what did you think of Byron? And Lennier's ending?

^ You know all this talking about Babylon 5 (esp. S5) made me realize that I really need to get S5 (and S1) on DVD. For some reason I seem to remember S5 the least. But that's probably cos it's the only season that I've only seen once.

Well, tvtome.com says it's Chief Petty Officer Tyrol. I've got no clue what his first name is though. :)

Yep, another good ep of BSG!

Well, considering Adama wasn't going to give her another option, Starbuck definitely made the right choice ;)

Why'd you put the flashback info in code? It's just as much a spoiler as the story of Starbuck's revelations. Anyway, I wondered if her scenes in the cockpit were flashbacks themselves for a while. It was a bit disconcerting going back & forth, but it was good in the end to break up some of the dramatic but slow parts with the cockpit scenes.

This was a good character-development ep. I'll be tuning in for more

At the time, I thought the flashbacks were more spoiler-ish than Starbuck's revelations, given it all leads to why the episode said To Be Continued. ;)

Ah, self-gratification, can there be anything better? *goes behind the bar and grabs finest bottle of kanar* BlackDog would enjoy this...
