Mutai Sho-Rin will be joining me in here as a co-mod, in my favorite forum on the BBS.

Give him a warm welcome, please. :)

Greetings peeps. An old Enterprise Mod has been resurrected here in TOS. I must confess that TOS isn't my favorite Trek series. The even greater heresy is that Babylon 5 is my favorite series of all television SF, coming in slightly above TNG and ENT. Never-the-less, I'm conversant on the TOS subject but won't be much of a content provider.

My goal for wearing the Mod hat again is to help 'Bonz keep the peace. I have no other desire than for everybody to contribute in their own way and have fun without spoiling it for others. I am Vulcan to the core and logic will carry the day. Reading a bunch of the existing threads will be my first order of business so I can learn the flavor of the place. Sounds like fun.

Live long and prosper.

Babylon 5--terrific series! It has some elements to it that you just can't find in Star Trek. The depiction of aliens is far more realistic, IMHO. It's just a shame that CGI wasn't further along during the production, as some scenes look incredibly fake. But it's an epic series... just wish they didn't try to drum up a wrap up mini-series, as it fell horribly short of the quality in the original series.

TOS looks so primitive in technical and story respects to the later Star Trek series. But, if you spend more time with it, I think you'll come to appreciate it more, especially if you keep in mind the times and stresses the show went through. Gene and crew created something wonderful, enough to inspire sequels galore. :mallory:

I watched B5 later than most, but when I did finally get around to seeing it, I was like, "Oh, so THAT is the origin of his username!" :D

The fighting in the Mutai was good but the B plot with Ivonava coming to grips with the death of her father was spectaculer to me. Seeing Worf's dad as Rabbi Koslov was a special bonus. That ep is listed in the bottom five at The Lurker's Guide but it is a top five in my book.
