Hi all, I finally joined the forum yesterday after many years of lurking.

I've been a long time SF and Star Trek fan, starting with TNG when it first aired on the BBC. Collected all the episodes and movies on VHS, and a decade later all the DVD's.
TNG, DS9 and VOY are my favorite shows, but I do like TOS and ENT as well. J.J's films are good, but I'm not sure I like them as Star Trek.

Other shows I like: The Twilight Zone (60's and 80's), X-Files, Babylon 5, BSG, Carnivale and when I'm in the mood for camp; Space 1999 (:alienblush:)
Favorite SF Authors: Asimov, Frank Herbert, John Wyndham, Larry Niven and Frederic Brown. (although everyone should read Bradbury's Martian Chronicles at least once)

Looking forward to some interesting discussions on this forum, where knowing things about Star Trek doesn't mean you're mentally ill.;)

Welcome up, Isolinear! Another TNG baby, cool!

No, we think your knowledge of Star Trek makes you perfectly normal. ;)

Have fun!

I just joined, and I got hooked by an episode in TNG(Can't remember which one). I've watched most of TNG, all of DS9, and some of TOS. I hope to start VOY soon, too:)

Hello. I'm a fan from the original airing of TOS, with strong opinions in general. But I've tried to enjoy every TREK offered. Nice to be here.

Hey everyone! So great to be a member of this awesome community! I'm hoping to network and get some momentum in getting a new series going. This seems like an awesome place to throw ideas and opinions and celebrations and all that stuff around. Thank you for having me!

Long time lurker, first time member. My main Trek interests lay with the TOS and TMP eras. I also love Classic "Doctor Who", and love drawing crossovers. My medium is MS Paint (XP). So not the best looking stuff.

Hi all! New member Cal here, long time Trek fan; more a fan of the tv series than the movies though. Although generally I go to the movies when they come out and watch them with popcorn easily enough, I would love to see a new Star Trek series some day.

Someone elsewhere mentioned TrekBBS had good forums discussing Star Trek and I've been missing that kind of dialogue for awhile, so I thought I would check TrekBBS out and join in while I'm at it.

Welcome, Cal!

Yup, you heard right. There are some pretty interesting discussions going on around here, so you'll have no trouble fitting right in.

:techman:

Hello, galaxy.

I was remiss not to post here first. I've been a fan of TOS Trek virtually since I could speak, and grew up with TNG Trek, too. I'm also very fond of Babylon 5 (particularly the Commander Sheridan/Bruce Bauxleitner period thereof), of Joss Whedon's Firefly, of Battlestar Galactica in both the old version and the new (for different reasons), and I think also (although I've never actually played the game, just seen videos of the content) of the Mass Effect universe.

For some reason I've never sought out a forum like this one, but I'm very glad I eventually found it. It seems a very welcoming place full of smart and fascinating people, and I'm delighted to have the chance to be a part of it.

Hello
I'm a late Trekker/Trekkie. My first encounter with Trek was NextGen and The Wrath of Khan in reruns.
Miri was my first classic Trek. Still not sure in what bizarro universe they thought that Kim Darby looked 13. She looked ready for the Prom.
