Hello. I've finally decided to join this madness...actually I think I joined some time ago, but never started posting for some reason. Oh well, I'm here now. See you around the board.

Hi, im new here :) been watching Star Trek since I was a kid, grew up watching TOS and TNG on TV and videos! im 23 now and studying international relations here in England :)

Hi, everyone.

I've been a fan of Star Trek my entire life. Star Trek: TNG was the first TV show I liked as a child, and I spent my childhood fairly obsessed with it. I'd drifted away from the fandom over time, but recently had my interest rekindled when I started re-watching my TNG DVDs from the beginning. Turns out it really is as good as I remembered.

I also had an interesting conversation with my mom, where she pointed out that the original Star Trek was an important part of her childhood, then TNG came along and was a part of mine. There aren't many things that can endure between generations, or that are fun when you're 5 and still fun when you're 25 (or 55 in my mom's case)!

I'm mostly interested in TNG, though I like TOS as well. I have to admit I'm not crazy about most of the newer stuff.

Anyway, I look forward to getting to know you all and feeding my obsession.

Thanks, Goblin Queen. Er, Kirsten87? I can see I picked a very confusing time to join this forum, lol. At least I'll have an excuse for forgetting who's who.

People can change their names for the period around Halloween and Christmas to something fitting the spirit of those two holidays. Their regular names are either in the location field or the signature. It is indeed a bit confusing but also fun.

Yes, usually I am kirsten187 but, as Count Pony mentioned, I have temporarily changed it for Halloween. No doubt there will be a Christmas one soon too!

Hi, my name is Ensign Ricky. I have been assigned here permanently from the USS Enterprise. Permission to come aboard?

P.S. Is there a merchandise discussion and trading sub-forum here?

Hi Ricky, welcome! :)

P.S. Is there a merchandise discussion and trading sub-forum here?

No. Merchandise can be discussed either here in GTD or if it's focused on a specific show or the movies, in those sections. We don't do trading here to keep things legally simple.

I everyone, yet another new user here - but not new to Star Trek.

Been a fav ever since I discovered TNG on TV in the mid nineties, and a huge fan since the other series became available on DVD in the early to mid 2000s.
The fan in me has been laying dormant for a while, but the iminent Destination Star Trek London convention has re-awakend the Trekker in me.

I'm here to stay now!
