I signed up 2 hours ago, but I've already made several posts. It sucks that I don't get to have an avatar or signature for two weeks, but otherwise I'm having fun.

Hello, everyone!
I've been a Trekkie since I was a kiddo. I'm a cosplayer and a fanfic writer. Looking forward to hanging out.
I've never done any cosplay, mainly due to the finances involved (I'm on a very tight budget), and also because I just can't think of any character that would be any good for me. At one point, I did want to buy a Starfleet uniform replica, but the best ones are hundreds of bucks, and that's simply too rich for my blood.

As for fan fiction, I've tried writing some, mainly for shows like "Smallville" or "Roswell". I've also written some very short stories about the "X-Men" movies. I know the rules of this site say not to include hotlinking, so just look up my handle on FanFiction.Net, and feel free to leave a review if you like. There's not much there at the moment, but I hope you like what you find. :)

This the old TrekCore forum?

Well it's good to talk about Star Trek again. I was just surfing the net for Star Trek lost scenes. And I found my way here.

Well that's it for my second post.

No relation, sorry. This forum was a part of the now-defunct TrekNation, alongside TrekToday.

Okay thank you. It seems I already had a name here. So I may have signed up for that board a long time ago. Anyway I'm glad I found it. Thank you, John

Hey crew!
When I was a 7yo boy I got very sick and had to stay in hospital for 2 months. There on the TV I watched my first Star Trek TOS episode. I was fascinated immediately and fell in love. I was able to watch more episodes and this made my time in hospital easier. This expirience made me a trekkie.

I was raised on Star Trek since my dad is a Trekkie. Mostly VOY because that was what was on terrestrial TV at the time, but later I really got into TNG and DS9 (and to a lesser extent TOS and ENT). I've mostly kept up with things, although I'm not the biggest fan of modern Trek. I have found myself enjoying Lower Decks and SNW recently.

I have degrees in film and media and work as a programmer. As you can imagine, Star Trek satisfies a lot of itches for me!

Welcome.

I love the older Trek shows, but I also love the new ones, haven't watched Lower Decks yet, but do really like SNW. I also love Discovery.

But that's fair enough about being a big fan of the newer shows, I know it's not everyone's cup of tea. Personal preference I guess.

And welcome to all the other newbies as well.
