Weight Loss Question

There are a number of foods that sound amazing but don't particularly go with a healthy diet. It is important that you watch what you eat and at what times of the day you eat. There are a number of foods that are high in calories that will build fat quickly, especially with little activity, so watch what you eat. Adding a nutritional health shake of some sort on a daily basis can be beneficial in a number of ways.

After four years of university, I put on roughly forty five pounds and to put it mildly, I look like I'm pregnant.

Are there any suggestions on how to slim up my figure?

I ask here instead of searching the Web as I'm looking for something that really works.

Thanks in advance!

Stop eating all that easy food that pervades western culture! I can't even believe what people put in their mouth! Nutrition is going to be the biggest component of slimming, and the hardest.

Find an activity(s) where you can burn off more calories than you consume. A good way to find out exactly what you need to do this is with an online BMR calculator. You simply subtract 500-700 calories from the resulting figure. This will be the calories you need to lose weight, rather than just maintain weight. Its not magic or a fad, those are real hard numbers you can work with. You can also find an online calculator for the calories certain activities burn based on your activity type and intensity.
