Infact I think Paramount will estimate it a little higher just to push it over 200 million :)

Going to see it again this weekend, If not tomorrow night. ;)

Cheers to Star Trek, I'm very happy it's doing so well!!
200 Mil, yeah! It's about to happen! Let's raise a glass.

^Grabs some of of Scottydog's champagne! Oh Yeah, thanks!!

Even though it will eventually be passed, I'm pleased to see Star Trek take the #1 spot for 2009. If I'm not mistaken, I believe it's now the third highest grossing Trek movie in the US, adjusted for inflation. Based on how it has sustained itself thus far, I think it will eventually surpass TMP as the highest grossing Trek film in the US. Not bad at all!

Not too many years ago my son would hate it when I performed the motion in that emoticon after winning a game of whatever we were playing--and he's otherwise not easily provoked.

Adding a "ooo, ooo" tweaked him even more as I recall.

Curse you, A&D! Let loose your hold on 3 so Trek can march back in!

I think A&D is holding because it's the only movie out there that's not sci-fi or fantasy and because the younger crowd doesn't go out as much as adults on weeknights. Oh well, it's only a hundred thousand or so above Trek.

Let's hope for an 18-49 year old outpouring over the weekend... Star Trek still fills that niche pretty well.

updated with final numbers...actuals for Trek dropped a few thousand...nothing spectacular
