We are getting closer to the 7th million messages barrier

Same story than the last time. Almost 7 million posts on this forum. People have already asked what the BBS will be in its final days. I hope the final days are far away yet. I guess we could have already reached 7 million posts if it weren't for the publication break.
Thanks to Discovery there are still people joining. So it is still possible to reach 10 million posts or more.....

Let's at least say: to the next 1 million messages. Let's hope the 7th million post doesn't invole any politicians.....:D

Cochrane's aim was to break the warp barrier. We want to break the 7 million messages barrier.... :D

It must have been before I joined so I don't know about an incident involving the loss of posts.

I must have a Déja Vú. I think you mentioned the loss of posts in my last thread (the 6th millions messages thread.....:D).

What happens when we get to the 10 million barrier? Do we all turn into Salamanders?

Oh, it's even worse/stranger than that....

What in the name of all that's holy is that?

A very neat homemade mask that I was fortunate enough to snag at a local yard sale a few years ago. The kindly older lady explained to me that her "son made that!" and that he's been living in Cali for years, where "they hired him away from" her. It's fun to speculate about just who her son might be in relation to the film business. :)
The mask is reminiscent of the aquatic character that Mick Fleetwood portrayed on TNG. Also very Ackbar/Cthulhu-like.
She also mentioned that he used some sort of actual shells for the eyes, and that he'd made many more masks.

Weren't a large number of post lost several years ago? So we might be passed that figure.

It was known as The Great Purge and it happened in the early 2000s. Not sure of the exact year.

It is a pity we have no longer give some of our most prolific members posting. There were a handful who used to post so much that they could have posted the last 10000 needed in just a few days.

Silly question... how will we know exactly which post is the seven millionth?
