Watership Down miniseries

"...From the animation studio that brought you the 90s television series Reboot, and those god awful virtual reality scenes in The Lawnmower Man..."

I've only made it through the first episode, but wow, was that animation style, y'know, done on purpose?

Is it on Netflix in the US?

Kor
Yes

I watched the first episode and started the second but quit, for now at least. I didn't care for it. The CG wasn't too bad for the most part but the crows looked terrible, South Park animation almost.

My main problem is I've read the book several times and whenever something is different it sticks out to me terribly and I can't not miss it.

To end this off, I didn't like how Efrafa was already mentioned in the first episode, and to of the most dramatic incidents in the first parts of the story were deflated quite a bit. 1, after Bigwig's "death" and the rabbits have an impromptu remembrance for him, they did but only partly, and 2. when Holly was crying out Bigwig's name and they were all scared, they thought it was the Black Rabbit calling him and Hazel went instead, they skipped that completely.

I started watching. I like the cutout shadow look at the beginning, but once the 3D animation starts, I find it difficult to watch.

I watched the first 2 eps last Friday and I agree with what many are saying about the animation. In particular the crows and the movement of the rabbits stick out to me. Overall it's only fair imho and I probably won't continue with it since there are so many other entertainment outlets...
