There is no such thing as continuity and character's are not always developed fully

First part - I disagree with. Particularly in the early seasons.

There is continuity the first three, maybe four, seasons.
After that though, continuity takes a backseat.
watched a few moments of it before seeing what time it was, but I had to ask one other question.

No. Same actor, different character.
Nick Lacarno was the original idea, but Ron Moore and the other guy who wrote The First Duty would have had to be paid for every episode of Voyager.

I think there was plenty of continuity. Some of the continuity missteps are more about command decisions seemingly contradicting past protocols/decisions. Other times the details are (to me) quite minor.
You should know that some of it is silly, but it's really good, and occasionally great.

It gets progressively better (at least until season 4/5). And you will get flashes of deja vu.

Just watched Caretaker, not bad. But I did get a funny idea in my head.

Oh man he is ugly. So glad he died.
Didn't think he was THAT bad, he looks like the actor who plays "The man in black" in LOST, and I know girls like him.
Also, "Parallax" was a entertaining episode. And while I do like the look, when I figured out how small the actress who plays Kes really is, I had to go YIKES!.
So far the only person I dislike on the show is neelix. And I am guessing he supposed to be annoying.
I am mixing my Voyager with my rewatch of TNG and my first watching of B5, so I will plod along for a while.
I'm on my second watch of B5 atm, almost done with the first season.
And I looked the first officer up, found a better photo and he is still yech. Yes I'm actually saying Chak looks better.
