Watching Movies Backwards

If you watch Superman: The Movie backwards it's about a complete jackass alien who buries his friend's car in some rubble, smashes up a dam and then flies around putting cats up trees and flying bank robbers away from the police before returning to his home planet.

If you watch the Wizard of Oz backwards, it’s about a young girl who, with her dog’s aide, creates a wicked witch out of water, forces a tin man, a lion and a scarecrow into oppressive circumstances and then flies home in her house.

If you watch Singin' in the Rain backwards it's about a jealous actor who causes his movie star girlfriend to be forced out of the Talkies and she ends up working in a local theatre.

If you watch Independence Day backwards, Jeff Goldblum fixes some friendly aliens' computers for them and in return they rebuild Earth's devastated cities.

If you watch Battlefield Earth backwards it's still fucking awful.

Boogie Nights backward is about some naive kid who uses his big penis to gain some level of success and stardom before it comes everything comes crashing down. Forward, same thing.

If you watch Jaws backwards it's about a shark who terroizes a town after it sends a crazed mariner after it.

And the shark, mariner and his boat all come back to life... somehow.

How about,

If you watch Jaws backwards it's about a shark who terroizes a town by throwing up people, for sending a crazed mariner after it. Then they open the beaches.

If you watch the remake of ‘The Fly’ (with Goldblum and Davis) it’s about a crazy looking creature that emerges from a state of the art telephone booth. As he slowly transforms into a humanoid, he mends a man’s broken forearm in a bar, makes love to a lovely woman only to leave her abandoned at a high society social event.

I thnk may favorite from that Reddit site is:

"If you watch House backwards, it's still never lupus."

I'll try one. Star Trek V is about how God sends a prophet to give free will back to a brainwashed starship crew and take them back home. Also, repulsed by Uhura's fan dance villagers return to their normal activities hoping in vain to restore some dignity to the poor woman.

If you watch Raiders of the Lost Ark backwards, it's about a man who takes the Ark of the Covenant from the US Government, uses it to restore some Nazis to life before helping them to hide it beneath ancient Egyptian ruins and then scattering the clues to its location throughout the world. Then to cap it all off he chases a boulder into an ancient temple.

If you watch the Wizard of Oz backwards, it’s about a young girl who, with her dog’s aide, creates a wicked witch out of water, forces a tin man, a lion and a scarecrow into oppressive circumstances and then flies home in her house.

Bravo!

If you watch Cloverfield backwards, some freaky monster helps people into helicopters and builds bridges in New York, so everyone has a party.

If you watch Star Trek 11 backwards, Kirk decides to give up the captaincy of a massive and beautiful spaceship to follow his dream of riding around Iowa on a motorbike.

If you watch Lost backwards, some friends try to go to a mysterious Island, and when they do they have a party on a beach with some friends and some others. Then they get picked up by a plane and taken back to LA, after which everyone has issues with their parents or problems with the law. It's pretty similar to the story played forwards, actually.

I missed the beginning of that backwards screening, I wonder if you could fill me in so I could watch the rest backwards. ;)

If you watch ET backwards, it's about an alien that's brought back to life by his helpful human friends, but they become more and more terrified of him until he runs back home on his spaceship.

If you watch Gigli backwards, it's the biggest critical and box-office hit in Ben Affleck's career.

Watch DS9 backwards. It's a show about a former Dominion War stronghold that becomes progressively less important as all the major powers lose interest in Bajor. Eventually, everybody stops visiting the station and it falls into such disrepair that the crew are forced to abandon it.

I watched an episode of Columbo backwards. Each episode involves an everyday member of the public being harrassed by a strange guy in a dirty overcoat, before going on to perform a miracle of resurrection on a dead person.

If you watch Star Wars backwards 6 to 1 its about the dominant reign of the empire. Luke's hand reattaching it and the death star rebuilding itself. Also Han Solo getting his cohona's back.

Then an annoying young man revives "younglings" and Clone troopers help jedi. Oddly the annoying young man reverts to a young boy who acts badly

"!STARSHIP your in you with go to get I mean You"
;)

Star Trek The Voyage Home

A mysteriously alien probe visits Earth and spots some hump back whales, after thinking that something is wrong in the time space continuum it starts to attacks Earth's Oceans, Kirk & co use a captured Klingon vessel and trick the Whales into swimming into it. They then travel back in time, and place the whales & a marine biologist (who also slipped though the hole in time & space) back in the right time zone, Spock then tells them that whislt they just arnt welcome in the future.

They fly back to there present where the alien intelligence stops attacking Earth, and leaves. Meanwhile Kirk & co go to Vulcan where they say good bye to Spock, as he starts to test his failing memory
