Not a fan of smart slapstick?
Let me know when you get to the episode where something important is going to happen under a time crunch and everyone is running around confused and there's some kind of misunderstnading.

I'm not sure it's slapstick so much as Whitehall-style farce, and to be fair, I got tired of this format towards the later seasons too. While some of the earlier farces are very good, they do get very repetitive later on.
Still, plenty of very good episodes remain. I just wish the writers had kept the range of episode formats broader for longer.
