Re: Was the part when Kirk bumped his head on the overhead metal bar a

I really need to rewatch these friggin movies...a lot of these movie ref's are lost on me!

Re: Was the part when Kirk bumped his head on the overhead metal bar a

I thought so too, so I fairly deduct, that this must be the reason.
Otherwise it would be too much of a coincidence.

What they said^

Re: Was the part when Kirk bumped his head on the overhead metal bar a

There were a few role-reversal moments, one involving Kirk-Bones, another Kirk-Spock. But of course I have to see the movie again to remember exactly what. Oh, one was Kirk's logic about saving Nemo to Spock at the very end. The Bones-Kirk moment escapes me.

Damn work! Can't go again until Sunday at the earliest!

I dunno, but there was the moment McCoy says of Spock, "I like him!"

Oh yeah, I think that's it... and Kirk says the "pointy eared bastard" line...

Re: Was the part when Kirk bumped his head on the overhead metal bar a

It was the first thing that popped into my head when it happened

At the time, I wasn't sure it was a favorable comparison for the filmmakers to be making, but the reason it sucked for Scotty now works for Kirk. He really doesn't know what he's doing yet where Scotty sure as hell should have.

Re: Was the part when Kirk bumped his head on the overhead metal bar a

I thought the same thing immediately...and the fact he was about to meet Scotty for the first time cemented it for me.

Homage to Star Trek V...who would have thunk it???

Along with Nero's correct name it seems.

This belongs in the nitpickers thread....MUST WE point out these ridiculous typo's and spelling errors to each other? That's right we don't...I'm glad you're seeing it my way.

No big deel.

Re: Was the part when Kirk bumped his head on the overhead metal bar a

...homage to when Scotty hit his head in Star Trek V?
That's what I thought... I've only seen it once and I'll bet I missed a lot, so I plan to see it again... hope to pick up more nods to early Trek.
