I would have to say yes. The Dax Symbiote however, is always fun to have at parties. 
I liked Jadzia. I guess we have a love her hate her type thing. She wasn't the best character on the show, but she served a purpose and was humorous starting with season 2. I'm going to watch it later, but I alway love the shuttle scene in I believe "The Siege" talking about flying by the seat of your pants. The dialog and beautiful scenery always make that scene great.

You are right, that's one of the huge problems with Jadzia. She just makes generic bland statements about her past lives, which is incredibly dull and pointless.
Although with a better actor/actress in the Dax role, it is possible we might have been able to see the other personalities come to bear with the one good actor taking on multiple personalities.
Obviously not something they could do with the an actress with no range like the one chosen, though.

1. First, think of three truly great Jadzia moments from the show.
2. Struggling? OK, how about just one?
3. Can you actually remember Jadzia doing anything memorable in the show at all?
4. (And no, cheap lesbian kissing scenes don't count.)
5. Conclusion: we got more on-screen personality when Odo took liquid form.

Yes I thought she was.
Well I certainly think so ... Not that, that should surprise anyone. 
That's why Terry left the show, from what I remember. There were a million different directions to go with that character. It's too bad they didn't.
I thought Jadzia was a fascinating character, but ultimately not very important in the whole of the story arch. Her trill story arch was more interesting under Ezri, but that's only because they really had more to work with. Jadzia had kind of a hit a peak, because she WAS a solid, intelligent character, completely in control of her functions as a joined trill, a very good officer/engineer/fighter and spunky at the same time. Quite honestly I agreed with Garak when he drilled Ezri and called her weak and pathetic-- but Ezri's storyline was more interesting. I would never call Jadzia "dull", that's a ridiculous thing to say IMO. Jadzia dax is probably one of the more "alive" characters in all of trek, and certainly more so than any of the TNG/VOY characters because she's not afraid to cut loose and be a person who plays dabo, gets hangovers, enjoys klingon martial arts, falls in love with the wrong people and seems to just embrace and enjoy life in general.
Here's the problem with introducing a new character like Ezri and season seven. There was too much to do in realizing her character to accomplish in one season. I can say, however, that she makes for a fascinating character in the relaunch novels!

Ezri was better cuteness-wise too.
Wasn't the reason her character was killed a conflict about money mainly?
