Was ds9 the saddest ending?

Fresh Prince of Bel Air! I happily watched that when it came on Netflix this year (last year?). Ah, sweet nostalgia.

The DS9 finale always gets me. It's not perfect though. The Winn/Dukat plot ending wasn't satisfying, and I believe that the writers should have stuck to their guns with the original, more final fate of Sisko. As it stands, its a little too ambiguous. I think the trouble with the non-linear Prophets is that Sisko could spend a lifetime learning everything about them, and in real time he could have just been gone for a few seconds. A more final ending would change that.

Ignoring those little gripes though and, yes, yes, a thousand times yes! What a bittersweet ending. That final shot of Kira and Jake is too much.

Hot take: What You Leave Behind was not good. Particularly the end to the Sisko-Dukat-Space Pope story. 7 seasons of build up, and it turns out the grand mission of the emissary was to push a guy off a cliff really quick. Whether Sisko died or not isn't even the point. That whole thing was forced.

The final zoom out shot is also distractingly bad and a demonstration of why they kept the DS9 filming model long after the rest of the franchise went CG.

No complaints about Odo's arc. That made perfect sense and the tux was a nice touch. Worf going into diplomacy? Not so much. Literally the last personal dispute Worf had resulted in the death of a head of state.

I've got more reasons, but I'll keep it to this. Great show. Bad finale. It happens.

I tend to agree Worf is not a great choice for diplomat. And as much as I hate all the pah wraith magic, when Dukat turns to Winn and says "Are you still here?!?" and swiftly kills her, that was extremely satisfying and almost worth it.

Worf is a good choice to be a diplomat, to the Klingons in general and to Martok in particular.

Mark Alaimo slayed more scenes than Dukat slayed Bajorans. Man, I hope there's a way to bring him back as a guest star. I miss him and his incredible delivery.

Worf is a good choice to be a diplomat, to the Klingons in general and to Martok in particular.

He killed a sitting Chancelor after having previously killed a contender to that same title. Sure, Martok trusts him, but there's zero way the Federation would be okay with him as their representative. I mean, one, conflict of interest. Two, did I mention how he keeps murdering senior members of the High council?

Despite the fact that I loathe Enterprise, I do think the original intro was brilliant and the ending was brilliant as well where they go through all the Enterprises, yeah pretty fantastic.
