Warp bubble and saucer separation

Good point!

Then again, the separation there was done at an extreme warp speed; a separation at warp five might not require superhuman accuracy. And nobody in "EaF" seemed to doubt the ability of the saucer to reach Deneb IV solo and within reasonable time. If there was something experimental or risky about having the saucer cruise at warp, Picard would probably have sent the battle section to rendezvous with the saucer, at the very least to see if everything was all right, and probably to latch the saucer back on for a safer journey to the destination.
