Warner Bros. Circling David Ayer for DC Comics’ ‘Suicide Squad’

New trailer drops Jan 19th on the CW.

Take it with a grain of salt though. Think I'm more stoked about this than I am for BvS.

The two are about equal for me. I love Harley Quinn, and I've liked most of the other characters I've seen before so I'm really looking forward to seeing them on the big screen. My only concern right now is Harley's origin, some of the stuff I've read online seems to be implying that
she's is tortured by the Joker and driven crazy
and I'm really hoping they don't go to far with that.

He's got something on his arm, so I think he's using Flag's shoulder to steady his aim.

It is still so weird to me that the Suicide Squad movie looks more upbeat, bright, and fun than the movies about Superman and the Justice League.

I hope this movie is as fun as the trailer makes it look. It's like black comedy version of GOTG. Which I think was the point.

There was a lot more of the Joker in the trailer than I expected. Still a tad on my he fence on this. Some groan inducing lines and getting used to Harley's voice will take some time for me.

Cool stuff! I'm surprised by all the military hardware action. That was a very energetic and fun trailer.

After seeing the trailer, I'm doubling down on what I said before. The most recent BvS trailer made me less interested in the film than I'd been before; the previous trailer had actually raised some hopes in me, but the latest one undermined them. But this is one hell of a good trailer, and it makes the movie look really entertaining.

Getting to hear Harley speak at last was interesting. I'm not surprised they toned down the accent for live action; aside from that, it seems they're going for the more self-aware, self-possessed Harley from the recent comics than the feckless innocent (of a sort) that was Paul Dini's original version of the character. Which is good, because it gives her more strength and presence. She really is the most vivid presence in all the promotional material for the film so far.

If that's the case, they've done a good job. Guardians looked like it was hard to top as far a bringing a comedic offbeat tone to an established universe.

What a great trailer! This movie looks like it's going to be a blast, while having some pretty big stakes too. I like the Escape from New York vibe with Air Force One going down in the middle of a lawless city (It's filmed in Chicago, but I'm guessing it's supposed to be part of Gotham temporarily taken over by Joker's goons?). The weird giant black tentacles I assume come from Enchantress, or is it some product of whatever strange weapon/explosion thing that was at the end? Great combination of humor, action, drama, and out-there scifi/fantasy elements. Definitely looking forward to this.

I hope that James Gunn gets some kind of co-creator/co-producer credit for that trailer  Honestly, I hate Leto as Joker more and more, but the movie does look interesting, and somehow they seem to have made a movie about a group of psycho killers have more personality and look less grim then Batman v Superman :vulcan: It looks like it will be entertaining, if nothing else.

Very cool trailer, and I'm absolutely LOVING Margot Robbie's Harley. I always found the character in BTAS to be a little too cutesy and annoying to be much of a threat (with her calling everybody "punkin" and such), but Robbie's made her seem genuinely creepy and dark and weird, while still being fun as hell to watch.

Well I'm certainly more excited to see this than Superman v Batman, and it comes out three days before my birthday so that'll be a nice present. August sometimes is the dumping ground for late summer movies.
Anyone think that shot of Boomerbutt being locked up is one of the last shots in the movie?
Does anyone know what version of Deadshot they're going with? I'm not up on the Nu52 version, but the Ostrander version was more cynical and had a bit of a death wish than what appears here with the Wil Smith version.

Very fun trailer. Whether the movie is any good ... jury still out. Some of the dialog was pretty ordinary, and yeah, not the voice I expect from Harley.

Probably my favourite moment was Boomerang sneaking a beer. :)

That trailer looked brilliant. After Wayne's World, I never thought Bohemian Rhapsody would appear in another film but they used it so cleverly. The dialogue and repartee in the film was a lot better than I'd expected. Looking forward to this now.
