Want a wonderful new dog?

Great news.

Also we picked up a new pup on Friday night. My wife happen to google for Golden Doodles on Friday morning and found one literally 2 miles from our house. She's 9 weeks old cute as they come and the boys are having a good time with her.

I'll post a few pics in the main picture thread later.

Those of you who volunteer at shelters and rescue organizations are wonderful in my eyes.. I couldn't do it... I'd have a menagerie at home if I did.. As it is, I have four rescues..

I used to do a "pet of the week" on my radio show back in the day and it was SOOOO hard.. As it is, I ended up coming home with a ferret and got my inlaws to adopt an Austrialian Terrier...

My brother fosters Airedales in Arkansas... Can't imagine how it's come to pass that he doesn't have a herd of them in his house..

A lot of people say they only want to adopt puppies or kittens, but folks have to remember they'll only be babies for a year. After that, you've got an adult pet who still needs love and attention. There are so many adults who need good homes.

It's true. The next animal I adopt will most likely be an older one. I'd much rather do that then get a puppy or a kitten.

And the great thing about adopting an adult, odds are it has already been "house broken" or "box trained" (depending upon its genus). Unless, of course, that was the reason the animal was given up, for "elimination" problems.

Sincerely,

Bill

Just got the good news. Baron was adopted today! He's a wonderful boy, and he'll make a lucky family very, very happy. I'll miss him, but I'm so happy for him.

Very pleased to hear that. With a little love, I'll wager (some quatloos) that Baron will be a loyal friend for life.

Good points, we were open to an older dog ourselves. The overriding factor was the breed being allergy friendly.

This pup literally fell in our lap on Friday.

The snow will melt in a few weeks and then it's time to turn the Empress of the Northern Plains into a duck dog.
