Waiting for the Boiler Man in freezing limbo

Not bad actually, got to take a side-trip to see the Piqua Atomic Power Station historical site. Small experimental reactor cooled by organic fluid rather than water or gas. Long shut down and sealed away under cement/sand.

That wasn't the point of the trip though the trip was to acquire another FANUC RoboDrill for Job Is Job. That went well too.

:wtf: You have historic Atomic Power Stations and I can't get a simple boiler fixed! They'll probably just bring me a bigger mouse for the wheel anyway;)

We have SEVERAL, and around here you end up waiting days for contractors as well so don't feel bad.

Of course in this country the threat of getting sued often lights a fire under ones ass... Know someone who was promised a service install on a Monday so she took a day off, three days off later no service she went to work and they guy showed up and left a note on the door saying he came by at 9 am.

She sued the contractor for lost wages and breach of contract, got her day in court and her $300. :)

^ I'm just not militant enough to moan that much. Over here it would start at threatening them with the Citizens Advice Bureau or paying for a consultation for which I don't really have a strong case. I'll just be very British about it and not offer him a biscuit with his tea lol

Or give him cold tea, saying it's cold because you have no hot water. :)

:guffaw:Like it!

Also leave a block of Limburger out and apologize for the smell but you haven't showered in days.

But I've been having strip washes in the kitchen

Say you're out of sugar too. Really drive the dagger home.

Even worse - I only have herbal tea, which I do. I won't tell him that til he fixed it:lol:

As opposed to the Eddo Brandes biscuit stratagem? ;) [That's enough - someone]

Oh come on, that's just not cricket ;)

You're an anarchist, I see... ;)

:bolian: It is in the Belgian version. Or so I'm told. ;)

^^ Do you think that's where I've been going wrong? With the tea? I should have got proper 'Boiler-man tea, so thick you could stand t'tea spoon up in' :)

I assumed in Belgium one received 'buns' for a good performance lol. Apparently they find it hard to digest biscuits after a good innings ;)

Tea is always important.

Use some of the circulating-side water to make his tea. That'll clean his pipes for sure.

"Tea?"
"Thanks!"
*HOARK* "bloody hell this tastes like boiler-water!"
"Bingo."
