Vulcan, know thyself

Laura Cynthia Chambers

Vice Admiral
Admiral
Spock is unique in the Kelvinverse; he has spoken with his future self (albeit from another reality) and has a unique perspective on his own life based on what he knows of his counterpart. He's his own (adopted) grandpa, essentially. (Little Spock Prime has also spoken to his future self, from an alternate timeline)

(Kirk only knows what little Spock Prime shared with him about his Jim/reality, from the Vulcan's perspective.)

Sarek has a rival for influence in Spock's life. How can he compete with his own son as a model for his son?

I would not understate the impact that Prime Spock had on Kelvin Kirk. Not only did Spock provide much deeper insight in to Spock but also spoke to an unmet need that Kirk was wrestling with regarding his dad.

Edited for clarity.

Imagine Kirk also trying to tell Spock how he should run his life based on what he learned. It'd be like having three dads in one (Sarek, Kirk, and briefly Spock Prime)

How many? Her real mom and Dad, Sarek and Amanda, that's four, plus anyone she considered a mentor...

So for Kirk's parental figures, there's George('s reputation), Winona, his uncle/stepdad (who supposedly is lousy), Pike, Spock Prime...

Sarek and Amanda, her actual parents who were Not Dead Afterall, then mentors like Phillipa Georgiou and Mirror Georgiou who was more than that because in the mirrorverse she was her actual adopted mother. And throw in Admiral Vance, who somehow was a mentor despite being Admiral of Absolutely Nothing for over 100 years until Discovery brought Star Trekking back to the Federation.

And by extension, Prime McCoy? The remnants of living in someone's head for a while. That's a lot of minds.
I don't know how far it should be extended. Otherwise it'd mean that KelvinKirk also knows Picard, and through him, Sarek, and through him Michael Burnham... ;)
