She got her "script approval" because she didn't like that they were planning to kill off the3 character at the end of the episode and asked them to change the end of the episode. That was her only participation when it comes to that horrible script.

As for the rest of your comments, I rest my case. I find them totally irrelevant.




Kes was the best character in Star Trek, One of my winning cards!

Another season 6 episode that Jennifer nixed was "Furby" where a toy she collected on 20th century Earth, and left behind on Voyager when she ascended into a space goddess, attains sentience after a weird accident, commandeers Voyager and goes looking for his mommy.

I would have her in my top 10, with other characters like Spock, Bashir, Kirk, Sisko, Ezri Dax, Tuvok, Torres, Paris, and Uhura.

I like those characters too.
Plus many others as well.

I never disliked Kes, but I wouldn't put here anywhere near my favorite characters.

I always appreciate a character that has a different, more alien nature. Kes' shorter life span, however illogical, works better for her to have this different perspective. I probably wouldn't put her so high up there if it wasn't for episodes like "Before and After" and her interactions with the Doctor. Did they do a lot with the character? No, but she stands out on the Voyager crew.

There are not a lot of characters that make me sit up and take in their different perspective as well as Spock, so for Kes to grab some of my attention that speaks to the character. Her overall personality is very positive to me.
