Voyager Standalone Books?

I understand. I forget all kinds of stuff. It's frustrating how much memory we lose. I really like the Invasion! series, the Fury were an interesting enemy with their unique history with the Alpha Quadrant races, it gives the whole saga an air of mythic menace to it.
I have read the "String Theory" books but I didn't review them on the Kes Website.
The reason for that was that I made a choice between reviewing the books in the timeframe for Kes's time on the ship or review all Voyager books which would have been difficult since I haven't read so many of the Voyager books published after season 3.
As for the String Theory books, I found them good but a bit heavy-read if you understand what I mean. They present a decent explanation of the events in that crap TV episode which should never have been made and also undone the damage to the character Kes which was done in that horrible episode in a decent way. However, I must state that I think thedamage to the character could have been undone in aless complicated way by just explaining that the creature which appeared on the ship was a being from a mirror universe or Suspiria in disguise.
"The Black Shore" is my favorite book among the Voyager books and among my favorites when it comes to all kinds of books. Excitement from start to end and all characters are playing important roles. When I read it the first time, I read it from beginning to end in one Saturday afternoon, only pausing for coffee-making. It was so exciting that I couldn't stop reading!
"The Final Fury" is a good one too. It gives us a scary villain, more scary than The Borg actually.
"Marooned" is another favorite.
In fact, I do find all season 1-3 Voyager books excellent and some of the events in those books would have been great TV episodes too.

I did spend a lot of time creating the Timeline.
I read all the Section 31 books but I recall them as pretty meh, the DS9 one being the best. The TOS one had a real handle on the characters though, really read like a an actual TOS ep.
Ahh, I see the TOS one was written by S.D. Perry who wrote the first to books in DS9 relaunch. Some of the best relaunch books out there.

Been a while since I read those, I used to have probably 200 TNG, DS9 and VOY books.
Voyager #3 was called Ragnarok, one of my favorites. Read it until I had to buy a new copy because the spine collapsed
The Invasion! stuff was really good, I remember asking for and getting the 4 book collection through my school library's birthday book program when I was 12(?)ish.
Mosaic is worth it, a TNG one I liked was called A Rock and a Hard place? I think it was #10 in the series.
There is some good stuff out there! Congrats on finding a sig other with all of that material, I would be extremely hard pressed to recreate my old collection at this point.But I do miss them every now and again :-)

I read the Voyager "Invasion!" (Final Fury) entry way back when and rather liked it, even though as I recall the aliens were pretty creepy (IMO). BTW, someone in the larger Facebook Voyager group is trying to read all the Voyager novels(!) starting with the Caretaker entry (well yeah that's the beginning) and just finished Fire Ship and said it was VG. Then a couple of other group members posted that they didn't like it all that much, but guess that can happen when one posts literary opinions, lol.

A coincident actually, nothing to do with this post. I'm at the last chapter now.
And yes, the aliens are real creepy. They make the Borg look like well-behaved schoolkids.
I like this book! OK, there are some un-realistic scenarios in it but overall it's a very entertaining and exciting book.
As for creepy aliens, those in "The Black Shore" were even better (or worse actually). They were even more creepy.
I really like the Voyager books, especially those written during seasons 1-3.
I must also state that when Braga nad his gang over-did the Borg, our author friends gave us exciting aliens like the Sperians, the Furies, the Hachai, the P'nir, the Ryol, the Andirrim, the Tutopans, the Televek and much more! Not all of them villains, I must state.

I've been re-reading the whole Invasion! series. I just finished the TNG novel and am about to start the DS9 novel, so I'll be re-reading Final Fury soon too
I really love the Invasion! series and the Furies. They're my favorite Lit only enemy. They are really scary and interesting, very alien, and we see examples of diversity in morality among them. They're not all totally evil, which adds a layer of complexity to their story.
