Voyager, sorry.... what ? moments.

But since the Ocampa become sexually mature with 3-4 years and not with 2 makes the relations still very awkward....

Like I already stated in an earlier post, just because the elogium was the only time she could have a child, doesn't mean it was the equivalent of human puberty (or Talaxian puberty for that matter). What if it was the last chance to have one, but thanks to the Caretaker's tampering it would be the only time.

I think Janeway might have misunderstood her. Kes was stressed out when she was trying to explain it. Her people's reproductive biology and mating rituals after all were very different.

This Elogium-thing is really unlogical:
They say that the Elogium happens once in the lifetime of a Ocampa. In the episode they talked about, that Kes would get one child during the Elogium.
This way the species would not be able to surfive because each generation would be smaller then the previous one...
They really messed up the Ocampa with that silly nine-year lifespan and the one child thing.

A species with such a short lifespan would never develope into more that primates and as you pointed out, each generation would be smaller than the previous one.

However, the Ocampa on Suspiria's array could be much older that nine years so I guess that there were some technique to prolong the lifespans.

Or maybe their planet had a 10-year orbit around the sun.

As for the "one-child syndrome", in "Before And After Kes's father Benaren states:
That's right, and you're my favourite daughter, but don't tell anyone.

So maybe Kes had sisters and it's actually possible that the Ocampa had 2, 3 and even more children during their Elogium.

Kes said she had an uncle so it's a canon fact that there are multiple births.

A short lifespan would not limit the natural evolution of a species.

But she also said, that the elogium happens only once in a lifetime and when she wants to have A child, she had to receive it during that elogium.

The autors probably didn't do their math or haven't thought the whole thing out :)

It was not said that they could only have one child. Kes said she had an uncle so multiple births do happen.

That is a line not meant to be taken literally. No parent that has more than one child woukd actually tell one that they are the favorite...well no parent who isn't a jerk. I've often told my mother that she was the best mother i ever had...doesn't mean i have more than one.

I had a wtf moment near the end of S2 Ep20 Investigations with Neelix:

Neelix kills Jonas by sending him into a fiery plasma death.

Neelix quickly says something offhand like "looks like I'm going to have plenty of material for my blog" and the episode ends with him smirking it up with Tom on Voyagers version of YouTube.

So this is pretty weird. Its probably down to wrapping the episode too quickly but theres no hint or remorse on his side (even though he killed a man).

Neelix does have a bit of a dark streak in him. Especially early on

Something else bugged me after watching "The Voyager Conspiracy" (if i remember the title correct).
This episode covers about a week time. We see that because 7of9 regenerates multiply times. Every time this enters the cargo hold, goes straight to her alcove and starts the regeneration cycle right away. When it is complete she immediatelly starts working.
She never changes her clothing and there is no indication of any "morning routine". And since she lives in a cargo area I don't think there is a washroom there.
So she has to smell very bad... :)

She probably just does that offscreen. Just because we see her go right back to work after regenerating, doesn't mean that's always how it happens. Perhaps after a set number of regenerations, she goes to the sonic shower and replicates new clothing.
