Voyager Nielsen ratings?

Are there any complete archives of the ratings anywhere? The old ones are kaput or unfinished. For posterity's sake, it might be nice to have a record of those somewhere...

Ratings for shows that are shown twice a week are screwy. Then there is the additional factor that syndicated shows change networks, times and are often interrupted for sporting events - evidently Detroit was the big offender there. And in Voyager and ENT's case, the numbers don't reflect changes in their network's national coverage. UPN's coverage changed a lot - not in a good way - throughout Voyager's seven year run.

So, Malcom, what you're saying is that the comparison of Neilson ratings between syndicated shows and shows on certain limited or fluctuating networks, like UPN, really doesn't reflect the show's popularity IF those differences didn't exist. Makes sense.

I wonder if TPTB and advertisers took that into account when they looked at the ratings of Voyager and other Star Trek shows, or if they just looked at the raw numbers? How popular would Voyager have been if it had been shown in the same number of markets as TNG or DS9, for example?

I think this is a significant question, because that perceived popularity/unpopularity continues to drive other decisions to this day--such as new book production, etc. Voyager is virtually ignored in new books, perhaps because the editors at Pocket Books buy into the "Neilsen ratings" misinformation?
