Voyager is the worst series.....Baloney!

It was sort of a joke, BUT...I'd be willing to wager that Sisko went on more exploration missions in his first two seasons than Picard on his first two seasons.

And in the first episode, he explores himself and what he is as a person, which neither Kirk or Picard ever did.

But didn't it seem to anyone (besides me) that DS9 became more about war and politics after a certain point? How many times did they get just a purely exploratory mission in the GQ?
Well once they learned about the Dominion it wasn't such a good idea to explore the GQ. But I do agree that it became too much about the war. In small doses I liked it, but it's not a series that I enjoy marathons of.

Should they have taken a more hamfisted approach? Janeway and Torres have to face an onslaught of sexist men in the workplace. Villains won't take her seriously because of their prejudice. If anything, I hope Discovery does not go down that road.
As a one off episode that may have been intereting. They come across a species that won't talk to Janeway or recognize her authority because she is a female. They have something Voyager desperately needs but Janeway has to step asside and let Chakotay handle everything because they won't talk to her.

I have to admit that DS9 is probably my least favorite Star Trek series. While it did have some terrific characters and some captivating story arcs, there were too many "soap opera" episodes. I found myself frequently bored, taking stock of what I'm watching and half thinking to myself "do I abandon this, or keep watching?" Never happened to me in any other Star Trek series.

Still, DS9 is an essential part of the Star Trek universe. And as a captain, I think Avery Brooks did a terrific job. Very strong character. I truly like the way he evolved.

Thank you!
I've never said the show is complete garbage, but it is definitely the least Trek of all Trek and just as definitely a soap opera in space - which is, of course, not to be confused with space opera, that's something else all together.
I'll admit, however, the one saving grace of it were the characters - at least some of them.

Hmmm, that almost sounds like the Kazon, except for the stepping aside thing. There are some instances where this happens, but it's usually pretty subtle. Like when the nerdy Hirogen decides he wants to stay on Voyager, and the hunters are angry about it. They say "Is this FEMALE now your alpha?! But they respect her by the end and give her a compliment- "You would have made worthy prey"

There was also something very similar in Prophecy. One of the Klingons said something similar

For what it's worth Voyager was an OK series. Not as good or fan favourite as say TOS or TNG but it was good. There were a lot of good episodes in the series amongst some of the more daft ones, like the ones with the Kazon...

But it was a good series for the most part.

My faovurite series would have to be Enterprise and the 2nd half of TNG from season 3 onwards.

I THINK YOU ARE TAKING EACH SERIES FOR ITS OWN BASE OF BEING AND HOW EACH SERIES SHOW DIFFERENCES LIVING CONDITIONS AND TESTING OF ONES OWN MORALES AND IF YOU WOULD HOLD OR BREAK THEM. EACH ONE TESTS YOUR WAY OF THINKING AND WOULD BEHAVE.

It's considered bad etiquette to use ALL CAPS when posting on the Internet.
My eyes have hard time making out small letters sorry I guess those with bad eyes get no forgiveness so thing the great bird of the galaxy would be crying over that

Depending on what computer you're using, there are magnifiers that can make letters larger, as well as in the Internet browser too.

The reason I ask is that there are ways to make the letters bigger within Internet browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, etc) as well as "ACCESSIBILITY" options, regardless of the age of the computer.

is that with dail up speed from the 1980's because that is the only Internet for twenty miles no satellite receivable because no site signal here
