VOY/TNG Set Construction

hey guys, i was wondering if there was any information about what the VOY/TNG sets were made with? Basically I'm looking to do some wall panels and I can't really find anything about how they were actually constructed. My best guess is they used heavily sanded MDF board and some special paints. Any information or maybe know a place I could ask?

From what I gather, yes, most sets are constructed of wood. And they have experts who do nothing but paint sets. I doubt it's as simple as them having one set of special paints. They probably draw from every artistic discipline that involves surfaces and painting, and also probably have a whole bunch of unique methods and materials (or rather, their own unique knowledge set of same - I doubt there's much in the way of product lines truly designed for them - too small a niche. If anything, they'd probably mix their own paints and keep their own special formulas if they need something special. But that's just my guess).
