They actually changed the opening sequence tune slightly in season 4, not season 3 which is when the Defiant was introduced.

Yes, I did not like it as much. It was not as atmospheric (IMHO)

I voted VOY because I love the theme--best of all the series imho. But DS9 is a close second.

^ Visually, I'll admit, it's not very impressive - even after the additions in Season 4. But, IMO, the music more than makes up for it. DS9 has the most beautiful theme of all Trek as far as I'm concerned.

If we're going to go just by visuals....

VOY > ENT > DS9 > TNG > TOS

If we're going to go just by music....

DS9 > TNG > VOY > TOS > ENT

Taking both into account, however, my preference is....

DS9 > VOY > TNG > ENT > TOS

Nothing to add to that.

I haven't seen ENT yet [I'm at mid 5th season on VOY atm], but for what is worth, I rarely skip Voyager's intro when watching. I skipped TNG's intro most of the time and DS9's all the time. too boring.

So, for now it's VOY and TNG in very close tie, with VOY better in music and visual, and TNG bringing pure awe with Stewart's words.

The Voyager opening is great but I think it has to go to TNG for opening. I'm not surprised to see that TOS hasn't gotten a vote to date, thiugh this is my favourite of all the Treks.

Speaking as someone who doesn't have Voyager has his favorite series, I loved the opening sequence and thought it was the best of the 6 series.

From a purely visual perspective I'd say Voyager but I voted for TNG as you can't beat the Picard voice over.

Eh was only add some humour to the thread, plus this thread is in the Voyager section it should really be in the Trek combine section, it would get a fair polling and opinion prespective.

It's one of my less favourite Trek series, but yeah, I do think it had the best opening sequence. It's the only Trek opening sequence I actively look forward to when watching an episode.

Its a bit unrealistic to the show. That blue nebula they fly through should have tried to eat them.
