Ah, well, at least I got the random win...

...so new random theme will be - GHOSTBUSTERS! I've been on a weird kick lately, since findin' the soundtrack for the sequel in storage, lookin' at themed shot glasses at the store, and seein' a neighbor wearin' one of the t-shirts the other day.

For the next TOS theme, I choose Barbara Babcock, one of my favorite actresses, who appeared in several episodes of TOS (character or voice), including our next episode.

If there's a tie in a theme the contestant with the highest number of votes overall gets the Golden Spock and the other gets the Silver. At least in theory that's how it's supposed to work..

You're welcome. Hey, I take it you're a Fringe fan, since you've got a Fringe related avatar. What did you think of the finale?

I adore Fringe! I'm still scratching my head over how the "Peter never existed" thing is going to play out, but I guess the Fringe team has something planned, and they haven't disappointed me so far. Just trying not to go nuts waiting until September.

I like the idea of an "airlock" between universes that will allow people from Over Here and Over There to interact. I have enjoyed the Over There characters (I think Lincoln would be good for FauxLivia ) and I'm glad we'll be seeing more of them.

Also, I'm a Peter/Olivia shipper (could you tell? ), so I'm hoping that works out. I can understand those who think the romance has been a huge distraction, but I love the idea that a bond between soulmates is the key to the survival of the universe(s). I suppose you could have guessed that too, considering my username.

Are you a Fringe-o-phile too? What did you think?

^ Yeah, I hear you. I was expecting some kind of inter-universe meeting to take place, but not quite like this.

As for Peter vanishing, it's a bit of a "ham up" on the cliffhanger theme. Remember Olivia being trapped in Walternate's prison cell at the end of Season 2? It left so many questions. Was she done for? Would Fauxlivia be the prominent replacement to Olivia? Thankfully, Olivia gets a strong story focus and eventually the chance to escape. With Peter, we're left with even more questions. Is he dead? My take on it is that Peter's special wormhole caused a condition that limited his ability to be in the room. So right now, he's "outside it", cannot get back in, and will be struggling to find a way to communicate with everybody inside. Or... his alteration caused a timeline "skip" and eliminated his existence, but that will be rectified by the actions of Walter and Olivia later on. The sure thing we can count on is that Joshua Jackson will be there in Season 4. So he's definitely not "eliminated."

Oh yeah, as you might have guessed, I'm a Fringe-o-phile too. Do you participate over on Fringe-Forum?

^ I joined a few months back, but it's like arriving at a party that's been going on for 2 years...so far, I'm a wallflower. I've made, like, two posts. But I'm a faithful lurker. That's where I found out that Joshua will be back next season. The idea of Peter being in some kind of alternate timeline, trying to "reset" things, is intriguing. (That'll make up for all those alt-universe eps he wasn't in, LOL.) There was a post that made me laugh... "Walternate to Walter: I'm bent on revenge because you stole my... er... uh... how did that go again?"

What's your handle over there? I'll look for you.
