I am absolutely shocked to the core that I've only received one vote.

That is a bit weird.

I can tell you why I didn't vote for your entry though:
The background, the winged woman and the fire look as if they come from very different sources; one looks like an oil painting another looks like a crayon drawing and the last as if it's from a photo. Add that the border isn't very well made (or is it a cropping that just wasn't close enough?).
The resulting avatar just isn't very pleasing to the eye.

Well if I'm honest I didn't put much time into this one. I could have for example easily made the border better but didn't. I figured the idea of it was so awesome that it would suffice.

(if you don't: in the first arc of Ultimate Fantastic 4 - after they get their powers - there's a conversation between Reed and Richard Storm about their powers: Ben is Earth, Johnny (obviously) fire, Reed water - because his elasticity enables him to 'flow' like water - and Sue is air since she can 'fly' and create invisible bubbles.)
