Company christmas parties can be pretty dull sometimes. At my former job the christmas party consisted of eating a lot of christmas rice pudding... Not that fun, really.

^ Well, the biggest problem was the fact that most people were shitfaced after about three hours. OTOH, I was totally sober so. I'm sure you can see the problem here.

^ Yes, being sober at parties where there's a lot of drinking is not very fun.

I have four more work days before the company I work for closes for two weeks. Yay! I plan on having a great time just relaxing.

I'm taking this week off so I can avoid all of the stressed out, self-absorbed people that tend to dominate my part of the world around Christmas

Working the days after Christmas will almost be like another week's holidays since we'll be lucky to have 25% of staff outside of the critical areas.

^ Since I'm single, I'm one of those lucky people who goes to other people on christmas eve without having to worry about much except for helping to cook and such if needed. And I have even managed to buy all of my christmas presents this year!

^ I still need to get a ton of presents. The problem is that I have no idea what to get for certain people.
