Voices Needed for New Animated Trek!

I apologize if this is not the appropriate sub-forum for this topic. A few members from STOwiki.org are helping me develop an animated Trek series for fun. We've got a dozen episodes written and most of the art has been finalized. We now need to fill the open voice spots, hence this topic.

If you're interested in participating in this project, simply record yourself reading some of these quotes and send the recording to NCC94253@gfcmedia.net.

We need voices both male and female, every age. As we hope to continue writing new episodes in the future, please indicate whether or not you have standing availability (so you could voice the same role in the future, or if you can only voice a minor role now). If selected, we'll start sending scripts to you. You will be credited for your talent.

Visit http://www.YouTube.com/NCC94253 for sneak peaks at what we've started working on so far. Eventually we'll have trailers and later full episodes at this location.

Thanks for your willingness to participate in this project!

if you want a european with the weirdest english dialect i'm up for it. :-) just promise not to laugh.
i'll send you a few clips in a day or two. got my hands full at the moment

There is no rush! As there are only a few people working to produce the series you can expect things to take a looooong time.

I so want to do this-but I have to figure out how to record my voice. Not sure I have anything that will do the trick...

EDIT: i'm going to have access to my schools professional equipment from september to november this year. if you want me to record something that's when i should do it. after november i'm off to the states so my laptop is all i can use.

Go ahead & send the audition soonish anyway. We hope to have something out before Sept. :)

I keep track of people who are planning Star Trek Fan Films, those who are producing them, films that have been produced, and those that have produced those films at my website, Star Trek Reviewed.

I have added a listing about your project at (B) here: http://startrekreviewed.blogspot.com/2009/06/143.html

But I have no name, no location, very little information. I'd love to add more. PM me with anything you might like to add.

Also, there is already somebody creating Machinima based on STO, vis: http://startrekreviewed.blogspot.com/2009/06/37.html

@Trippy: Thanks for moving the thread!

@Rob & Kob: If you would like to audition with your own choice of material, that is absolutely fine. Voyager quotes with more variety can be found here. Female voices are in short supply!

@Ares: Audition received, and your unique voice will definitely prove useful! Expect an e-mail with details in the future.

@Barb: I'll PM you with details. Pat, the mind behind Voice for the Voiceless, is actually one of our guest writers! I am a great fan of his work.

EDIT: @Barb, I don't have permission to use the PM system until I make 50 posts. I would prefer not to spam the board unnecessarily, so could you please send us a note at NCC94253@gfcmedia.net? We would be happy to provide all the details. Thank you!

Absolutely. If you've done any vocal acting in films, commercials, video games, etc. we will certainly accept a link as your audition.

Please remember to include your e-mail address so we can contact you. :)

I like the variety of voices, Capt April. I assume you were Jerk/Snotty/Doctor? Would you happen to have a contact e-mail address? You can reply here or send a note to NCC94253@gfcmedia.net. I don't have access to the PM system on this forum.

We have a lot of roles to voice as there are always new characters popping up in the various episodes. We have had only two female voices audition! It would be great to have more auditions from females.

We have an outstanding group of female voice talents at Star Trek: Excelsior. Please feel free to register with our forum and post a casting call. The URL is www.starshipexcelsior.com.

BTW, I'm submitting an audition myself! ;)

Thanks; I've posted at Excelsior as well. We've had a couple females contact us, but we have not actually had any more send auditions... I suppose we sort of expected finding voices for the female roles would be more difficult than finding voices for the males.
