Virtual Tour of the Enterprise-D

That was neat. If only other areas had been done. One shot rooms, and I also seem to recall Geordi have a small office in engineering somwhere.

One of the Bridge of a Rolulan warbird would be nice.

While we're at it ... does anyone know whether the circled part in this Ten Forward image was supposed to be mirrors or does the row of windows actually go past the lounge? I guess they're mirrors, but I'm never sure.

According to the Sternbach Blueprints there are supposed to be smaller lounges on either side of Ten Forward, going round about a quarter of the forward section until coming to Crew Quarters. Also in the episode where the Enterprise is docked for a Baryon sweep, Picard was seen running up to that point before being transported out, which implies that it is an open wall to the next room and not just mirrors.

Thank you so much, NCC-1701! That tour is absolutely fantastic! Now, I can "live" on the Enterprise-D, visiting it whenever I feel the need to relax! Ten Forward and the Observation Lounge are my two favorite views, but I wish Starfleet had incorporated the master systems display (the "pool table") on its other ships after the Galaxy-class.

In the real world production sense, they -are- mirrors, but we did that to say that there are actual rooms to port and starboard.

Rick, you are the one who knows, thanks for resolving that question.:techman:

The 1701-E Sovereign-class had the master systems display (the "pool table") in Engineering too.;)

It's always surprised me how small 10-forward is. I know they're restricted by the space available for the sets, but still...

Rick Sternbach in one of my threads?! I think I'm dying right now ...

So the idea is that we're actually seeing these rooms through these walls, right?

Why? With a ship of 1000, I think the size is about right. They have holodecks, banquet rooms, the aboretum, and most likey more lounges. The student lounge at university isn't much bigger, and it serves 2500 people just fine.
