Vick bankrupt, crocodile tears flow

I don't know, if there's a team desperate enough for a good quarterback, he could make a come back. There's certainly enough players with baggage running around, and I know the Broncos and Shanahan give many of them second, third, and fourth chances.

give the Mastermind more credit than that. ;)
Eh, you're right. Shanny usually cuts them off after the third try. :p

SOmebody will take a chance on him
Still disagree with this... If he was coming out of jail in his mid to late 20s, then yeah... but when he comes out of jail, he will be in his mid to late 30s...
He wouldn't have time, what with his search for the real killers and all
Plus, OJ is looking at going to jail himself, again. Hey, what ever did happen with that?

Vick was born in June 1980, which makes him 29, and got a 23 month sentence, plus he's been in jail since December (went in early to get credit). So he's only got 16 months to go and will probably get released a bit early.

Think it's going to trial. Considering his buddies ratted him out and confessed, I think we'll actually get to compare his "we find OJ not guilty" face to his "we find OJ guilty" face.

So, he'll be 31 years old, and likely out of NFL shape... Still don't see it worth any NFL team. Likely the AFL or CFL.

that should be fun :D

Now, the question is this... since he'll be in jail, who will take up the search for the real killers

After that he'll need the NFL to agree to reinstate his sorry ass.

Yes, he will. So he then hires a trainer and then guess what...yessssss, he gets into NFL shape.

But by the time all this happens, who would want to take a risk on him

Wow, I even forgot about that... but I doubt the NFL will punish him too harshly. Not for nothing, but the man is paying an insane cost to his life for the crime

No, he's getting off to easy. Putting him in a cage with angry pit bulls would have been better. Its his own fucking fault for being a monster.

No, he's getting off too easy.
No... Michael Vick is a sad story of a man who thought he was immune from the law... But the man has been punished much too harshly for what he did
Putting him in a cage with angry pit bulls would have been better.
No... While it's nice to use that kind of rhetoric, at the end of the day, the kid didn't do anything horrible
Its his own fucking fault for being a monster.
He's not a monster... He is a stupid kid that got a lot of money and was manipulated by too many people.
There were comments about how black people fight dogs, it's a cultural thing... While I don't know about that, I can tell you that Mexicans fight chickens, and that very much is a cultural thing. I have been to some of these fights in Mexico. So, maybe it is a cultural thing... maybe it's an arrogance thing... but to lose this much is too harsh of a punishment

Nobody fucking "manipulated" him into financing this huge dog fighting ring for his sycophants. The fact that he was such a public figure demands that he is made an example of, and the fact is, he got the low end of the possible penalty for this heinous crime.

I happen to work with one of the rescue groups that took in several of his dogs, and I met them and took these pictures. Fortunately both were puppies when he was busted, and never were taught to fight, so they were salvageable. But the black one had been used as a bait dog, used as an outlet for the older dogs vicious aggression, and will probably never fully recover. Its sick. The only good thing to come out of this is that it focused attention on the problem of dog fighting and led to many tough new animal cruely laws in Virginia.

So wait, you're saying he should receive the harshest penalty for no reason other than people recognize him? What he did sure as hell ain't right, but he shouldn't be judged or punished differently because of his fame.

He should receive the harshest penalty for the scale and scope of his crime and the fact that he finanaced and made possible the crime of dozens of people. Like mafia bosses (should) get harsher punishments.

Yes, he will. So he then hires a trainer and then guess what...yessssss, he gets into NFL shape.

Any owner who is looking for a wide receiver, running back, (or possibly even) quarterback, with game breaking talent who would come cheap.

If you think that any owner who thinks Vick can help his team win would not hire him based on his criminal past, you're very much mistaken. As long as Vick shows he still has the talent, there will likely be more than one team bidding for his services.

and most of the people expressing their righteous indignation about his current conviction will disappear when he comes to their team and gives them a chance to win.

Let them try it and see the public outcry. His career is DONE. He'll be lucky to get work in a McDonalds.
