Vance's Schematics

Ooh, nice shots. Definately will have an updated and 'tweaked' version by tonight, then.

In a complete creative fit.. erm.. no, this was a minor and obvious ‘modification’ of the Hermes to get the Saladin. Basically, it was an excuse to work out the 2-forward torpedo bay.

(Note, Hermes updated as well)

Well, FASA fans may call this ‘dressing up a turd’, but it WAS on the redo list…

I actually don't think the Wilkerson looked too bad, although the stats FASA gave it were garbage. Particularly the huge mass in relation to the ship's actual components.

Thyella Class Escort (Frigate)

This is a pretty bare-bones TMP-Era Escort, with three main phaser banks, two aft banks (not visible), and... a nice excuse to draw the Reliant's impulse housing section. It's armed and equipped like an escort should be, with phasers (point-defense), shields, and SPEED.

She looks good Vance. ;) What other ships are you planning on designing in the TMP shematic realm?? It would be great to see the Miranda Class (Reliant). ;) Are you also planning on doing the Aurora Class Space Cruiser in TOS design??

Ajax Class Cruiser, NCC-2616

Some minor changes and corrections, really just to make the fore and dorsal views possible. Also made the shuttle-bay ‘standard’ size.

Initially, I'm going to clear out requests of the frigates and destroyers. Probably about 20 or so ships before switching off to something else for a bit.

It would be great to see the Miranda Class (Reliant).

Coming.. eventually...

Are you also planning on doing the Aurora Class Space Cruiser in TOS design??

Yeah, in the next couple of days. I just need to clean up the 'FASA' version that I drew up.

I really like this design. It has nice intermediate class feel to it.

Oh, I suppose...:)

A few changes. The inner torpedo tubes were put back on the central pylon, largely 'cause you would be shooting off your lower primary hull otherwise.

I also went away from 'Valley Forge' since I've got about nine designs by that name already. The Jiangwei is a new Chinese missile destroyer, which I thought was appropriate.

I'll probably update this with my own version sometime today with some of my own refinements.

Great job! I can understand the change to the nacelles, and the photorp launchers...we don't want to shoot our own hulls! I had conceived of this design originally to create an ultra-low profile ship to present the smallest forward profile to the enemy, but at the same time deliver impressive firepower.

All in all, I stand impressed by your work on this thread! Do you happen to do TNG-era? :)

I don't have any pieces drawn up for TNG-VOY ships just yet. They will come someday.. just not yet. :S

Todd Guenther's Akyazi, .. well, the common kitbash thereof... which, oh screw it, here it is:

I know some people like that notched-nose look, but it's beyond me why we'd need to cut into the hull like that to add a torpedo tube. No reason in the world they can't be mounted on the nose without breaking the visual curve of the saucer. If it needs to be 2 decks thick, build a housing underneath in the camber. It worked great on my Peregrine kitbash:

I mean, why LOSE internal volume by cutting that notch when you don't have to?
