Depends on the ships, really. I did them at different times, and they're slightly different scales (the Chicago is notably smaller with the primary hull). I wanted to evoke a more Soyuz/Constellation feel with the Kearsarge.
There are many, many, many fan-produced kits. Try www.starshipmodeler.com for a start. That site has links to many garage kits sites.

I had no idea there were so many resin manufacturers out there.
You wouldn't believe how hard it is to get hobby stuff around here. Even my local supplier for resin (liquid, not kits) went out of business. Lately I've been trying to use this substance from a crafts store, but it's clear (so I have to trail-and-error my way through adding stuff to make it opaque), it takes days to cure, and it makes the whole house smell like a chemistry set. Also, there is no longer any reliable source of sheet plastic here. I've been reduced to buying "For Sale" signs from hardware stores and sanding the paint off them. I still have a number of Enterprise parts in 1/2500 (both TOS and TMP), but finding materials for scratch building other designs is becoming a serious problem...

Vance, i just studied the Kearsage again, and noticed that the nacelles in front and side view are of a different alignment as in the top view.

btw can you do one either TOS or TMP with a Heart shaped Saucer and
Deflector Dish area? and having the bottom piont of the heart in the Saucer

I know this is a freelance design based on the Andor, but it's a perfect example of what a TOS Andor would look like. Great great stuff Vance, it cheers me up after watching The Nature Boy's farewell ceremony on RAW.

Yes, in fact before i posted yesterday, i checked the schematic on your site, to make sure, that i didn't missed an update. At that time, the error was not corrected, which it is now.

Still, perhaps an obvious oversight on my part... born largely in rushing to get caught up on everything that I've been supposed to have been doing. Let this be a lesson, it's ALWAYS worth taking the time to do it right instead of blurring through.
