Valentine's Day plans?

I'll be working and after that I'll read my book. Its about two irish lads falling in love with each other.

My wife and I had our first date a week after Valentines Day (Feb 21st) so we typically eschew VD in favor of going out for a nice dinner on our dating anniversary. We will give our kids a little Valentines gift and a card, but that's about it.

I'll be doing maneuvers in a Piper Arrow.

Okay....the Arrow's engine started behaving erratically after takeoff today, which freaked out my instructor, so they grounded the plane for maintenance. Which means tomorrow I'll be doing IFR approaches in a 172 instead.

Sigh....I was really hoping for a good view of the snow from above, but that's not going to happen much while wearing a view-limiting device.

the book wouldn't happen to be 'at swim, two boys' would it? the name of the author escapes me but i think his surname was o'brien.

^ ah cool, i have been looking for the book for ages but can't find it. is it a good read?

Its kind of hard to follow since the Irish talk differently then Americans do. It might have to do the era the characters are in. The story takes place in the early 20th century the time of the first World War. I would try finding it on Barnes&Nobles, Borders, or Amazon.

Hey! I got some heart-shaped-chocolate! Cheesy, but who cares. The little girl inside (who right now is rather outside too) just went squuueeeee!

Im spending the day away from my boyfriend. We'll deal with each other on monday.

My husband has to go out of town for work later this afternoon, so we are going out for breakfast.

Okay, so I ended up getting a basket of treats plus flowers from my husband today. I feel a bit guilty that my romantic gesture is cleaning the house and ironing all his shirts. I make a terrible wife.

Best morning ever! Before I went to bed last night, I left out Valentine's presents for the kids (A heart-shaped box of Smarties for little miss trampledamage, and some Tim-bits (donut holes) inside a heart cookie cutter for young master trampledamage). I slept in this morning, but I was awake enough to hear them find the treats.

Then when mr trampledamage came to get me later, they both came running in to say thank you for their presents and to wish me a Happy Valentine's Day. It was like Christmas :D

That is sooooo cute:techman:

Man and I had a great night. Did go to his house, without the Cat and the Teen. Lots of candles, wine, food, radio to 'I Love this song' FM and talking and ended up dancing to Shirley Bassey at 3.30am. Almost like dating again :luvlove:
