To be fair, I wasn't posting in 2002 when it was REALLY ugly. I was an observer/guest, and my registering was mainly because I just couldn't stand the VOY bashing any further.

I peeked in here 12-13 years or so ago, and left soon after due to the Voy bashing going on. Voy bashing seemed to be an olympic event at many of the trek sites I sampled back then. I finally fell in with a Voy loving crowd at the nebula and thankfully settled there.

While I agree that the "Voy bashing" now doesn't come close to ancient times, those of us who remember it just get our cockles up when we sense its about to begin again.

Exactly, folks who complain over Voyager being defended simply have not experienced just how nasty things were here to warrant that behavior and continued vigilance.

Some people may genuinely hate it and have valid complaints and are sincere but when a show is active things are crazy(tollapalooza)...I experienced this with many of shows. I loved VOY and I have plenty of problems with things that went down...like C/7. But I prefer not to dwell on it or others who want to dwell on the negative.

[edit] About the Vaadwaur...I really didn't like them or Dragon's Teeth...subspace corridors were an interesting idea.

Do we know if the Hirogen eat their sentient prey? Wouldn't surprise me all that much, really, I just don't remember if it was ever established.

They explained al of this and other aspects of their culture in "Hunters".

So... that's a yes? They DO eat sentient lifeforms?

You've been here almost 9 years according to your join date. That, and the TrekBBS itself has only been around for 14 years.

The only other I can think of that has been a member in this forum that long is kimc.
I really wouldn't expect anybody to understand what he's referring to only being here for 3. How could you, you weren't here.

I went out of my way to acknowledge that I have only been here 3 years, and that I have no firsthand knowledge of what went on before that. Obviously.

But what went on before that DOESN'T MATTER. Anwar continually rails against a Hatedome that does not exist, period, regardless of whether or not it ONCE existed. That was the point I was trying to make.

He makes sweeping generalizations about people who criticize VOY, hammers on about double standards that don't exist, and pretends to know how "the audience" would have reacted if things had been done differently. These are all things he does currently, to people that dare to criticize Voyager, so the supposed hatred directed against the show and its fans 10(ish) years ago is, again, irrelevant.

Sorry but the whole issue doesn't matter IMO.
I do understand why and were it comes from.
If that doesn't matter too you, then we really don't have anything more to talk about.
