And Michael Ironside is one of the few actors who can't say that Smallville is the worst thing on his resume!
I've got to dig up my "Same Actor/Same Character DIFFERENT Continuity" Thread. This is exactly what I was talking about. I not even really a fan of either V. But this type of thing is just inherently cool.
With all the reboots of recent years there is a sense that the cast have to be all new. Though its difficult to distinguish these new versions of characters. Particularly when the turnover is so quick. Like with the Spider-man or Hulk films. I would like to see more "non continuity thinking" like this. Even age does not need to be a factor as in this case.

Yeah, i was considering dropping V but now I won't be at least for a few more episodes. If there's no improvement this bit of casting won't be enough to keep me going.

lol... Although to be honest just off the top off my head I'd say a lot of the actors on Smallville have done stuff that's much worse. Kristen Kreuk made that horrible Street Fighter Chun-Li movie, Michael Rosenbaum made that putrid cross-dressing sorority movie, Erica Durance was in that Uwe Boll masterpiece House of the Dead (thanks for the nude scene though Uwe), and then Tom Welling has Cheaper by the Dozen 1 & 2 on his resume.
I usually don't go for campy approaches to sci fi, but this is one case in which it's probably the best route. Just dial the insanity up to ten, with Diana screetching at Anna for frakkin things up, Anna seducing Tyler into being her eeevil minion, Ryan turning Terminator to hunt down his erstwhile colleagues and Erica & Father Jack having steamy sex on the church altar and then going out to hunt down more lizards.
