Ryan has been living on erth for a while. he must have noticed that most of the rest of the world has a different religion or no religion which means that there is no such thing as the human soul according to the majority of human beings on the planet.
Can you imagine?
"I found it! I found the human soul! it was very clever, it was hiding, but I found it! the human soul is squarely located in the human elbows. If we cut off their elbows we should be able to control them."
If Jack wasn't going on about souls at the same time, I'd think that Diana (if that is her name) was just faking with anna, like the time Sinclair told G'Kar that he had put an invisible undetectable tracking device inside him that his scientists would never be bale to find no matter how hard they looked.
Or the gspot! God gods the time I spent looking for that fucker believing in the buillshit Cosmo was shovelling.
"We made a baby because there's love in our hearts"
Is Ryan simple?
Or are the writers simple?
Lets close down all the fertility clinics in the world and just teach people how to love their spouses better, that's their only failing, wives and husbands just don't love each other purely enough to have children.
MADNESS!
The role of Father Jack now played by David Boreanaz.I think Anna should discover the nature and location of the soul and extract Father Jacks in a cliffhanger. Now that would make for relatively unique television.
The whole soul debate almost killed the episode for me. Anna: Let's research and destroy human souls. Really? Other than that, I thought Serpent's Tooth was OK. I actually liked the introduction of a worldwide resistance movement. About time. Their tactics are stupid, though. I also liked the overall explanation about why the Vs are here and what they are plotting.
Now, who's the best rat-eater?

The problem is not that it's highfalutin, it's where do you go with it? You can't visualize a soul for us to see (without getting into silly territory), you can't prove it exists scientifically, so it'll just remain talk talk talk. Something that must be based largely or solely on dialogue is a poor choice to base a TV show on, since TV is a visual medium. At least emotion is something the actors could make visual, either its presence or absence.I'm sure some high-falutin' discussion about souls probably won't endear the show to people who want laser guns and catsuits.
So who could be in charge of the world-wide resistance? Ham Tyler? Paging, Mr. Ironside please!(Or did he die in the original series?)
