The Fifth Column tries to figure out what Anna is planning to do now that she's ready to activate Earth's first Blue Energy reactor. Diana advises Lisa to defy her mother and fulfill her destiny to save the human race.

Please, no more curdled strawberry yogurt vomit and ketchup tear scenes.... those were unbearably badly done.

But the show is still entertaining enough.

^The three actors looked terribly bored in that picture. Have they been watching their own show?

how many more episodes left in this season ? I am recording the entire season for a V marathon .

The season finalle is next week, this was 2x09, there are only 10 episodes this season, originaly there was 13 episode order I believe, but ABC cut the order down to 10.

The Concordia groundbreaking scene...

Anna: "Now that you've learned to walk, you can put one foot in front of the other."
Henchman: "Everything is going according to plan."
Anna: "The humans won't know what's coming... unless there are lip readers in the crowd or watching at home as we talk openly about our plans."

And the queen egg scene with nothing but redundant unnecessary dialog that has already been repeated. Who are these writers?

Is it possible the actors are accidentally reciting the directions and not the dialog?

The Fifth Column deserves to lose. The level of writing makes them look like such nincompoops. Do they think the viewers are really that stupid that things need to be spelled out in colorful crayon with all capital letters?

Ryan: "Anna's put a hit out on Chad."
Jack: "What does that mean?"
Hobbs: "That they're gonna kill him."
Jack: "Are you sure it's not so they can take him out for cake and ice cream?"

I actually liked last night's episode. I wasn't sure if it was the finale or not, and I thought the scene at the power plant would've been a good cliffhanger. That being said, the clips for next week look promising.

V is not a great show, however I can see improvements from last season. It seems like they have finally found a rationale for the Vs for one and the resistance has gelled. However, they aren't as interesting or diverse as the original miniseries.

I think this episode ratched up some tension. Erica was colder, harder, and more committed, which I liked. Even Hobbes had to talk her down for blowing the plant up. Also, the creepy bliss scene, which seemed a bit sexual, between Anna and Tyler was well done. I wonder why the Vs can't create some type of drug or something that would make humans compliant instead of this bliss thing?

I missed last week's episode so I'm not sure what role Ryan's daughter now plays in all this. I had assumed that the queen's egg was mixed with Ryan's daughter's DNA to produce a replacement for Lisa. Is that the case? Or is the queen's egg going to develop into another individual?

^Joshua used Ryan's daughter as a guinea pig for rapidly aging Anna's egg to maturity so they can replace Lisa ASAP with the (sexually mature) hatchling. That's why the daughter is older now. Anna was willing to let the kid die in the even something went wrong with the experimental procedure, as she didn't want to risk trying it untested on the egg.

LOL it thought the same thing! Not just the crowd but they showed that dozens of media camera's were pointed towards Anna as well so any lip reader watching a nice HD news broadcast could.

What is this show about, again? They change premises every week. :rommie:

You know a story is badly written when the big dramatic tension hinges on someone's cell phone being off. :p

Why can't the V's take a look at humanity's myriad weaknesses and just exploit them? Play one country off another by promising Blue Energy to one and not the other. Take sides in the various ethnic and ideological squabbles that are going on, all over the planet. Promise to fix global warming with SUVs for all, in exchange for freedom. You aren't really using your freedoms, are you, puny humans? Wouldn't you rather continue to gobble up planetary resources, consequence-free, forever?

There are a billion smarter things these idiots could be doing! Humans are easily controlled by their own stupidity, fears and greed. Who needs Bliss?

This show is capable of so much more. I voted Above Average because the average for this show is so low.

I hate Chad, he's terrible, but I did like the fake-out he played on his co-anchor. I also think Diana is just playing the two sides off each other just to regain absolute power.

Do we get to see Donovan next week?

Not Donovan, Lars, but, yes, Marc Singer is a guest star next week, and may be a regular in S3 (If there is a S3)

The 5th Column is stupid and will get nowhere with the mentality they have. They are weak. While they are fighting a ruthless enemy. Anna is poised to pretty much destroy billions of humans in order to do her breeding thing to earth, yet the 5th column folks flinch when it comes to killing a few thousand humans.

I would have let the reactor blow. Sure thousands would have died, but at least I would be saving BILLIONS.

But then again, Anna might wise up, fire up the lasers and photon torpedoes and just start destroying everything instead of wasting time playing nice nice with people you plan to kill anyway.
